Part 5. Rock water absorption test
1 Scope
This part of DZ/T 0276 specifies free water immersion, boiling and vacuum pumping to determine rock water absorption and rock saturation absorption.
Water rate.
This part is applicable to the water absorption test of rock without disintegration, insolubilization and non-drying and swelling in rock physical and mechanical properties test.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Absorption rate
The ratio of the mass of the water absorbed by the rock sample under normal pressure and normal temperature to the mass of the solid of the sample is expressed as a percentage.
3.2
Saturated water absorption watersaturatedabsorption
The ratio of the mass of the maximum inhaled water of the sample to the mass of the solid of the sample under high pressure or vacuum conditions, expressed as a percentage.
4 Principle
The sample is freely immersed in water under normal pressure and normal temperature to achieve saturation or forced saturation under high pressure and vacuum conditions, and the test before and after saturation is measured.
