Ion Chromatography
1 Scope
This standard specifies the ion chromatographic method of nitrite and nitrate in food.
This standard applies to the determination of nitrate and nitrite in foods of fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, pickled products.
Principle 2
Nitrite and Nitrate samples using a saturated solution of borax extraction, precipitated protein isolate, remove the fat and other substrates at a pre-removal
After processing procedure, determined by ion chromatography. Retention time qualitative than quantitative standard method.
3 Reagents
Unless otherwise indicated, the reagents used were of analytical grade water for ultra-pure water resistivity of 18.2MΩ · cm.
3.1 Sodium nitrite. reference reagents.
3.2 kno. reference reagents.
3.3 Sodium hydroxide. pure class distinctions.
3.4 potassium ferrocyanide [K4Fe (CN) 6 · 3H2O].
3.5 sodium borate (Na2B4O7 · 10H2O).
3.6 zinc acetate [Zn (CH3COO) 2 · 2H2O].
3.7 glacial acetic acid.
3.8 Sodium hydroxide solution [c (NaOH) = 100mmol/L]. Weigh 4.0g of sodium hydroxide (3.3), add water to 1000mL, and mix.
You can also use automatic eluent generator OH- type preparation.
3.9 potassium ferrocyanide solution. Weigh 106.0g potassium ferrocyanide (3.4), dissolved in water and diluted to 1000mL.
3.10 saturated borax solution. Weigh 5.0g sodium borate (3.5), was dissolved in 100mL hot water, cooling backup.
3.11 zinc acetate solution. Weigh 220.0g zinc acetate (3.6), add 30mL glacial acetic acid (3.7), dissolved in water and diluted to 1000mL.
3.12 nitrite standard stock solution. Weigh accurately at 115 ℃ ± 5 ℃ drying to constant weight of sodium nitrite (3.1) 1.5000g, dissolved

3.13 nitrate standard stock solution. Weigh accurately at 115 ℃ ± 5 ℃ drying to constant weight of potassium nitrate (3.2) 1.6305g, dissolved in water and
Dilute to 1000mL. This solution 1mL containing nitrate 1000μg. Stored in the dark at 4 ℃, valid for six months.
Use liquid formulation of nitrite standard 3.14. accurate Pipette nitrite standard stock solution 5.0mL to 50mL volumetric flask with water
