1 Scope

This standard specifies the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method for the determination of tetramethylpyrazine residues in imported and exported foods. This standard applies to the determination and confirmation of tetracyclazine residues in citrus, apple, spinach, broccoli, beef liver and chicken kidney.

2 Principle

The sample is extracted by shaking with water + acetone (1+4), liquid-liquid partitioning in methylene chloride, purification by gel column, and solid phase of Florisil. After the column is purified, the eluent is concentrated and dissolved to a constant volume, and then detected by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and quantified by external standard method.

Dilute with acetone to a standard working solution of the applicable concentration as needed.
