1.1 Scope This part of GB/T 6346 applies to surface-mounted conductive polymer solid electrolyte tantalum fixed capacitors (hereinafter referred to as capacitors). Surface mount MnO2 solid electrolyte tantalum fixed capacitors are not included in this section, but are covered by IEC 60384-3. This type of capacitor is mainly used for direct mounting on hybrid circuit substrates or printed circuit boards. Capacitors for special purpose applications may require supplementary technical conditions. 1.2 Purpose The purpose of this part is to specify priority ratings and characteristics for this type of capacitor, and to select the applicable quality from IEC 60384-1.
