1 Scope

This chapter in GB/T 4706.1-2024 is replaced by the following. This document specifies the safety requirements for sauna heating appliances and infrared emitting units for household and similar purposes. This document applies to single-phase appliances with rated input power not exceeding 20kW and rated voltage not exceeding 250V, and other appliances with rated voltage not exceeding Sauna appliances exceeding 480 V intended for home use or public sauna appliances used in apartments, hotels and similar places. NOTE 101.Sauna heating appliances may be of the heat storage type. This document also applies to sauna heating appliances with a humidifying unit, which humidifies the indoor air by evaporating or atomizing water. NOTE 102.A humidifier may be part of a sauna heating appliance or installed in a sauna heater. A sauna heating appliance or sauna heater may or may not have a humidifier. Operate with humidifier.
