GB 4706 "Household and similar electrical appliances -- Safety" consists of several parts. Part 1 is general requirements. The other parts are special requirements. This Part should be used in conjunction with GB 4706.1-2005 "Household and similar electrical appliances -- Safety -- Part 1.General requirements". This Part is equivalent to IEC 60335-2-14.2006 "Household and similar electrical appliances - Safety - Part 2-14.Particular requirements for kitchen machines". For ease of use, this Part makes the following editorial changes to IEC 60335-2-14. a) The term "Part 1" is changed to "GB 4706.1-2005"; b) The decimal point "." is used instead of the comma "," as a decimal point. This Part replaces GB 4706.30-2002 "Safety of household and similar electric appliances Particular requirements for kitchen machines". The main differences between this Part and GB 4706.30-2002 are as follows. - The Chapter 1 Scope is modified as "Appliances intended for normal household and similar use and that may also be used by laymen in shops, in light industry and on farms, are within the scope of this standard.
