A standard system for aging-friendly electrical appliance technical specifications.
GB/T 46484 "Technical Specifications for Aging-Friendly Household Appliances" is proposed to consist of the following three parts.
---Part 1.General Requirements. The purpose is to specify general requirements for the aging-friendly design of household appliances.
---Part 2.Special Requirements for Washing Machines. The purpose is to specify special requirements for the aging-appropriate design of washing machines.
---Part 3.Special Requirements for Refrigerators. The purpose is to specify special requirements for the aging-appropriate properties of refrigerators.

Part 1.General Requirements
1 Scope
This document specifies the aging-friendly technical requirements for household and similar appliances and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document applies to the age-friendly design, testing, and evaluation of household and similar electrical appliances (hereinafter referred to as "household appliances").
Note. The elderly people referred to in this document are those who are able to live independently but experience certain difficulties using household appliances that meet standard technical requirements due to aging.
The elderly. Some elderly people lose the ability to use household appliances due to physical disabilities or mental disorders, and their needs may exceed those of the elderly mentioned in this article.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 28219, GB/T 36934, GB/T 36947, and GB 44246, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.

Single-phase AC powered appliances used by non-professionals in homes, residences, and similar settings (e.g., shops, light industry, and farms).
Electrical appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 250V, and other appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 480V.
