Preface
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents"
Drafting.
This document replaces GB 22448-2008 "Protection Rules for Industrial X-ray Flaw Detectors Below 500kV" and is consistent with GB 22448-2008.
In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Changed the detailed provisions of the ambient dose equivalent rate caused by leakage radiation (see 4.1, 3.1.1 of the.2008 edition);
--- Deleted the protection requirements for fine structure X-ray machines (see 3.1.2 of the.2008 edition) and the protection requirements for special protection X-ray machines (see
3.1.3 of the.2008 edition) and protection requirements for fully shielded X-ray machines (see 3.1.4 of the.2008 edition);
--- Added protection requirements for X-ray tubes (see 4.2);
--- Changed the protection requirements for "controller" (see 4.3, 3.2.1 of the.2008 edition);
--- Deleted the protection requirements for X-ray output windows (see 3.2.2 of the.2008 edition);
--- Increased requirements for connecting cables (see 4.6);
--- Added protection requirements for X-ray inspection workplaces (see Chapter 5);
--- Changed the area monitoring and management in the use process X-ray protection monitoring (see Chapter 6, 4.2 and 4.3 of the.2008 edition);
--- Deleted the files for X-ray protection (see 5.6 of the.2008 edition);
--- Changed the testing cycle requirements (see 8.2, 6.2.2 of the.2008 edition).

The previous versions of this document and the documents it replaces are as follows.
---First issued in.2008 as GB 22448-2008;
---This is the first revision.
Non-destructive testing instruments Industrial X-ray below 500kV
Flaw detector protection rules
1 Scope
This document specifies the protection requirements for industrial X-ray flaw detectors below 500kV, the protection requirements for X-ray flaw detection workplaces, and the requirements for the use of
Process radiation protection monitoring, X-ray machine safety operation requirements and X-ray machine radiation protection detection, etc.
This document is applicable to industrial X-ray flaw detectors below 500kV (including fixed X-ray flaw detectors, mobile X-ray flaw detectors and
Design, manufacture, installation and use of portable X-ray flaw detectors. Non-destructive testing equipment with the same radiation source range for non-flaw detection purposes shall refer to
use.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB 18871 and GB/T 36416.2 apply to this document.
4 X-ray machine protection requirements
4.1 Ambient dose equivalent rate caused by X-ray machine leakage
When an industrial X-ray flaw detector (hereinafter referred to as "X-ray machine") below 500kV is working, the main beam window of the X-ray tube should be covered with a light shield.
At the maximum working value specified by the manufacturer, use a protection-grade dose meter to measure the leakage radiation at a distance of 100 cm from the focus of the X-ray tube.
The ambient dose equivalent rate should meet the requirements of Table 1.
Table 1 Ambient dose equivalent rate caused by radiation leakage
Tube voltage U
kV
Ambient dose equivalent rate caused by radiation leakage
mSv/h
U< 150 < 1
150≤U≤200 < 2.5
U >200 < 5
4.2 X-ray tube
4.2.1 The X-ray tube should be able to be fixed in any required position and locked.
