3 Terms and Definitions

For the purposes of this Document, the following terms and definitions apply. 3.1 Electric heating garments Garments that use electrical energy to provide heat to the human body. 3.2 Flexible resistive heating elements The flexible part that uses the heating effect of the current passing through the resistor to generate heat, including heating conductors, heating fabrics, heating sheets, etc., is referred to as the electric heating element. 3.3 Heating conductors A heating element in the form of a wire bundle, including the core body of the wound conductor and any other conductors and insulators that form a whole. 3.4 Heating fabrics A fabric heating element with carbon or other conductive material may be provided with a heating surface. 3.5 Heating sheet A thin-film electric heating element that is made by laminating a chip resistor and an insulator. 3.6 Electrical parts The energized parts on the product usually include heating elements, control devices, power sources (batteries or power adapters), as well as conductors and terminals connecting these parts.

4 Requirements

4.1 Instructions for use 4.1.1 The instructions for use of garments shall be implemented in accordance with GB/T 5296.4 and GB 31701.Instructions for use shall also include the following. 4.1.2 Garment durability labels shall indicate the production date and safe use period of the product. For garments with detachable electric heating elements, the garment durability label shall also indicate. 4.1.3 For the detachable electric heating element on the garment, the following content shall be marked on it. 4.1.4 The switch shall have an obvious mark; and the temperature adjustment device shall have a mark of the adjustment direction. The marking used for this purpose shall be understandable without knowledge of the language or standards. 4.2 Size and specifications of Garment The quality of fillers shall meet the requirements of relevant laws and regulations, mandatory standards and relevant standards. 4.3.4 Electrical parts Electrical parts shall be used reasonably and meet the safety requirements specified in relevant national standards. 4.3.5 Plugs and sockets used for extra-low voltage circuits and as termination devices for electric heating elements shall not exchange with the plugs and sockets listed in GB/T 1002, GB/T 1003, IEC TR 60083, IEC 60906-1 or not exchange with the connectors and appliance input sockets listed in the Table of GB/T 17465.1-2009. 4.5 Garment quality 4.5.1 The product shall meet the basic safety technical requirements of GB 18401; and the electric heating garment worn by children shall also meet the requirements of GB 31701. 4.5.2 Electric heating woven down garments shall comply with GB/T 14272; and knitted down garments shall comply with FZ/T 73053. 4.5.3 Electric heating casual garments shall comply with FZ/T 81007.

5 Test Methods

5.1 General conditions for electrical safety inspection 5.1.1 Unless otherwise specified, the electrical safety test shall be carried out in a place without forced convection air and at an ambient temperature of (205) C, and the humidity be kept between 30% RH ~ 80% RH. 5.1.3 Direct-powered electric heating garments. For specimens provided with a power supply device, the test shall be conducted with the power supply device at rated voltage and rated frequency. For specimens not marked with rated voltage or rated frequency, use 220 V, 50 Hz for the test. For the specimens that are not provided with a power supply device, use an AC or DC test power supply that meets its rated value for power supply. 5.2 Protection against electric shock 5.2.1 Measure the operating voltage of the electrical parts on the specimen. 5.3 Heating Carry out the test according to Appendix B. 5.4 Moisture resistance 5.4.1 For non-washable electric heating garment specimens, place them for 24 hours under the environmental conditions specified in 5.1.1, and then conduct moisture treatment and electric strength test. 5.5 Structure 5.5.1 Visually check the heating elements, internal wiring and electrical connections on the specimens. 5.5.2 For electric heating garments equipped with heating conductors composed of multi-strand wires or internal wiring, the test shall be carried out according to Sub-clause 19.112 of GB 4706.8-2008. 5.5.3 The corrosion resistance shall be tested according to the method in Clause 15 of GB/T 3883.1-2014. 5.5.4 Along the direction in which the bushing may move, apply a force of 20 N on the bushing used as insulation for 10 s, and observe whether the bushing is displaced and the live parts are exposed. 5.5.5 Make a mark about 20 mm away from the fixed position of the conductor, or other appropriate positions; and then apply a pulling force of 10 N in the most unfavorable direction for a total of 25 times. Do not use explosive force; each time for 1 s; observe damage to conductor terminals. 5.5.6 Measure clearances and creepage distances. When measuring on air insulation, a force of 20 N shall be applied. 5.6 Heat resistance and flame resistance 5.6.1 For the parts made of elastic plastic material on the specimens, carry out the pressure test according to clause 24.1.3 of the GB/T 17465.1-2009.Other plastic parts on the specimen are subjected to ball pressure test according to GB/T 5169.21-2017, and the test temperature is. 5.6.2 For heating elements and internal wiring, conduct the needle flame test according to the provisions of 30.102 in GB 4706.8-2008; for other parts, conduct the glow wire test according to GB/T 5169.11-2017, and the test temperature is. 5.7 Electromagnetic radiation Test according to the method specified in IEC 62233.2005.When the garment is working normally, the actual measured magnetic induction value shall be directly compared with the reference value BRL of the magnetic induction intensity at 50 Hz. 5.8 Quality of use The inspection of quality of use shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the corresponding national standards or industry standards in 4.5.
