This standard applies to all kinds of wallet which are made from leather, fur, artificial leather/synthetic leather, regenerated leather, textile, and so on. The cellphone cover may make reference to it. 2 Normative references The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For the dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the amendments) are applicable to this standard. GB/T 251 Textiles - Tests for color fastness - Grey scale for assessing staining GB/T 2912.1 Textiles - Determination of formaldehyde - Part 1. Free and hydrolyzed formaldehyde (water extraction method) GB/T 17592 Textiles - Determination of the banned azo colorants GB 19340 Adhesives for footwear and case and bag GB/T 19941 Leather and fur - Chemical tests - Determination of formaldehyde content GB/T 19942 Leather and fur - Chemical tests - Determination of banned azo colorants GB 20400 Leather and fur - Limit of harmful matter GB 21550 The restriction of hazardous materials in polyvinyl chloride artificial leather GB/T 22889 Leather - Physical and mechanical tests - Determination of surface coating thickness Snaps The fittings that have open/close function. 3.5 Frame The metal mouth inlayed at the opening. 4 Product classification 4.1 It is classified into the wallets made from leather, fur, regenerated leather, artificial leather/synthetic leather, textile and other materials by the surface layer material. 4.2 It is classified into frame wallet, suit wallet, wallet, certificate wallet, key case, name card holder, and so on (the common wallet and part schematics are as shown in Appendix A) by types. 5 Requirements 5.1 Raw materials and fittings It is selected in accordance with relevant product standards. 5.2 Limit of harmful substance The limit of harmful substance of leather, fur, regenerated leather, and textile material shall comply with the provisions of Table 1, the limit of harmful substance of PVC artificial leather shall comply with the provisions of GB 21550, the limit of harmful substance of adhesives used in wallet shall comply with the provisions of Table 2. Table 1 -- Limit of harmful substances of leather, fur, regenerated leather, and textile materials In milligram per kilogram Item Limit value Free formaldehyde, ≤ 75 Decomposable harmful aromatic amine dye, ≤ 30 Note. The name of the forbidden aromatic amine is as shown in Appendix A in GB 20400. If the content of the 4-aminobiphenyl and 2-aniline exceeds 30 mg/kg, and there is no other evidence, it cannot judge whether the forbidden azo dye is used based on the currently available knowledge. one test, totally 200 tests are performed, respectively. 6.5 Zipper durability Select 20 cm length zipper to perform test at the frequency of (20 ± 1) time/min, one opening plus one closing form one test, totally 200 tests are made. If the zipper length is less than 20 cm, perform test within the maximum length range of the zipper. 6.6 Hardware fitting corrosion resistance It is tested in accordance with QB/T 3826 (excluding riveted piece, metal chain tooth), the test time is 16 h. Only the zipper pull of the zipper head is evaluated. 7 Inspection rules 7.1 Batching The products of the same type and same specification which are produced by the same type of raw materials in accordance with the same production process form one inspection batch. 7.2 Exit-factory inspection Each batch of products shall be subject to appearance inspection one by one, which can only be exit-factory after being inspected and qualified. 7.3 Conventional type inspection Under one of the following cases, it shall randomly take 3 products from those which passes exit-factory inspection for conventional type inspection. a) In case of major change of product structure, process, and material; b) In case of production restoration after 6-month suspension; c) In case of national quality technical supervision institute proposes type inspection; d) In case of normal production, at least 1 type inspection is made every 6 months. 7.4 Special type inspection It is performed in accordance with the provisions of Appendix C. 7.5 Decision rules Appendix B (Normative) Test methods for color fastness to rotatory rubbing B.1 Test environment The specimen shall be placed in a standard environment of temperature (20 ± 2) °C and relative humidity (65 ± 4)% for conditioning for at least 24 h, the test shall also be performed at this temperature and humidity conditions. B.2 Test instrument and material B.2.1 Rotatory rubbing testing machine It shall contain the following parts. - Test bench (preferably metal), which can fix the specimen; - Vertical rotatory shaft, which is used to fix the circular felt, the rotation speed is (150 ± 5) r/min; - Apply the (24.5 ± 0.5) N or (7.1 ± 0.2) N to the rotating circular felt; - Counter. B.2.2 Test material Circular combed felt, with holes at middle part, which shall comply with the following requirements. - Outer diameter (25 ± 1) mm, inner diameter (3.0 ± 0.5) mm; - Thickness, which is measured in accordance with the provisions of Table B.1; - Density (190 ± 20) kg/m3. Table B.1 -- Felt thickness test method Thickness/mm Downward pressure/pressure foot size Sample 6.5 ± 0.5 (49 ± 5) kPa/(10 ± 1) mm Cut felt or sheet material not cut 5.0 ± 0.5 (2.0 ± 0.2) kPa/(19 ± 10) mm Cut felt B.3 Specimen preparation The requirements are as follows. - When the sample can be flatly fixed onto the test bench, it may directly use the sample to perform test; - When the sample cannot be flatly fixed onto the test bench, cut a strip specimen of 30 mm x 90 mm from the sample surface layer material to perform test. Test shall be performed on parts free from stitching lines or holes. B.4 Test B.4.1 Dry rubbing test B.4.1.1 Fix the specimen onto the test bench, apply the load, to make the test head pressure reach to (24.5 ± 0.5) N. B.4.1.2 Fix the felt onto the test machine shaft. B.4.1.3 Lower down the rotating shaft, to make the felt contact to the specimen, select the number of rotations in accordance with Table B.2, start the instrument. B.4.1.4 After the test, rise the rotating shaft, take off the specimen and felt, use the grey scale as specified in GB/T 251 to assess the staining grade of the felt. B.4.2 Wet rubbing test B.4.2.1 Weight the mass of dry felt, place the dry felt into the grade III water or deionized water, slowly heat it to boiling, keep boiling for 60 s, pour off hot water, replace fresh water, to make the circular felt cool to room temperature, take the felt off water, place it in between 4 water absorbent papers (2 above and 2 below, with the test surface in contact with the filter paper horizontally), place a (900 ± 10) g load onto the filter paper, keep it for about 1 min, gently extrude the circular felt to adjust its moisture, weigh it to make the wet felt mass reach to (3.0 ± 0.3) g, the immersion time of the circular felt in water shall not exceed 24 h. B.4.2.2 Fix the specimen onto the test bench, make the test head pressure be (7.1 ± 0.2) N. B.4.2.3 Fix the wet felt onto the test machine shaft. B.4.2.4 Lower down the rotating shaft, to let the felt contact the specimen, select the number of rotations in accordance with Table B.2, start the instrument. B.4.2.5 After the test, rise the rotating shaft, take off the specimen and felt, naturally dry the felt at room temperature, use the grey scale as specified in GB/T 251 to assess the staining grade of the felt. ......
