5.2 If the size and unevenness precision, surface structure, surface quality grade, edge
state, packaging method are not specified in the order contract, the product in this
document shall be supplied in trimmed steel strips or trimmed steel plates, based on the
ordinary size and unevenness precision, surface structure of pitted surface, surface
quality FB, meanwhile packaged according to the packaging method provided by the
supplier.
6 Dimensions, appearance, weight, allowable deviations
The dimension, shape, weight, allowable deviations of steel sheets and strips shall
comply with the provisions of Q/BQB 401.The thickness and unevenness allowable
deviations of SPCC designation shall comply with the corresponding provisions, when
the minimum yield strength specified in Q/BQB 401 is < 260 MPa.
7 Technical requirements
7.1 Chemical composition
7.1.1 The chemical composition (smelting analysis) of steel shall comply with the
provisions of Table 5, Table 6, Table 7.
7.1.2 The allowable deviation of the chemical composition of finished steel sheets and
strips shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 222.
7.2 Smelting methods
The steel used for steel sheets and strips is smelted in an oxygen converter.
7.3 Delivery state
7.3.1 Steel sheets and strips are usually delivered after cold rolling, annealing, leveling.
7.3.2 Steel sheets and strips are usually supplied with grease; the grease film shall be
removable with alkali aqueous solution. Under normal packaging, transportation,
loading and unloading, storage conditions, the supplier shall ensure that the surface of
the steel sheets and strips will not rust within 6 months from the date of completion of
manufacturing. According to the requirements of the purchaser, the product can also be
supplied without greasing, after agreement between the supplier and the buyer and
being specified in the contract. The supplier will not bear corresponding product quality
responsibility for defects such as rust, scratches, friction marks, which are caused by
ungreased products during handling, storage, and use.
Note. The issuance date in the product inspection document is usually specified as the
manufacturing completion date of the product.
7.4 Mechanical properties
7.4.1 The supplier guarantees that within 6 months from the date of completion of
manufacturing, the mechanical properties of steel sheets and strips shall comply with
the provisions of Table 8, Table 9, Table 10, Table 11.Steel sheets and strips with
designation DC01 shall comply with the requirements of Note d in Table 10.
7.4.2 When steel sheets and strips are supplied as specified parts, the supplier and the
buyer can agree on a mechanical property range, that meets the processing requirements
of the parts, as the acceptance criterion. At this time, the mechanical properties specified
in Table 8, Table 9, Table 10, Table 11 will no longer be the basis for delivery.
7.4.3 Due to the influence of aging, the mechanical properties of steel sheets and strips
will deteriorate with the extension of storage time, such as the increase in yield strength
and tensile strength, the decrease in elongation at break, the deterioration of formability,
the occurrence of tensile strain marks, etc., it is recommended that users use it as soon
as possible.
7.4.4 The hardness and performance requirements for hard materials with the
designation SPCC shall be as specified in Appendix A.
7.5 Tensile strain marks
Under room temperature storage conditions, for steel sheets and strips with surface
quality grades of FC and FD, tensile strain marks shall comply with the requirements
in Table 12.
7.6 Surface quality
7.6.1 The surface of steel sheets and strips shall not have holes, surface cracks,
laminations, or other defects that are harmful to use.
7.6.2 The characteristics of each surface quality grade of steel sheets and strips shall
comply with the provisions of Table 13.
7.6.3 For steel strips, since there is no opportunity to cut off the defective part of the
strip, the steel strip is allowed to be delivered with defects; however, the defective part
shall not exceed 3% of the total length of each roll. If the user has special requirements,
they can be determined through negotiation when ordering.
7.7 Surface structure
7.7.1 The average surface roughness of steel sheets and strips shall be controlled in
accordance with the requirements of Table 14.If the purchaser has special requirements
for roughness, these shall be negotiated when ordering.
7.7.2 Surface structure suitable for environmentally friendly coating (BAOTEXTM)
BAOTEXTM products can meet the technical requirements of advanced
environmentally friendly coating processes. If users have needs, they can be negotiated
when ordering.
8 Inspection and testing
8.1 The appearance of steel sheets and strips shall be visually inspected.
8.2 The size and shape of steel sheets and strips shall be measured, using appropriate
measuring tools.
8.3 The tensile test shall be in accordance with Method B of GB/T 228.1-2021.In order
to improve the reproducibility of the measurement results, it is recommended to use the
beam displacement rate control method. The beam displacement rate for determining
the yield strength is 0.00083 × Lc (mm/s) (where Lc is the parallel length of the tensile
specimen, in mm, the same below) or 0.05 × Lc (mm/min). After the yield strength is
measured, the beam displacement rate is 0.0067 × Lc (mm/s) or 0.4 × Lc (mm/min).
8.4 The r value is calculated at 15% plastic strain. When the maximum force plastic
elongation Ag is less than 15%, the value of the plastic strain at the end of Ag is
calculated. The n value is calculated in the range of 10% ~ 20% plastic strain. When Ag
is less than 20%, the calculated strain range is 10% to Ag.
8.5 Steel sheets and strips shall be inspected and accepted in batches. Each inspection
batch shall be composed of steel sheets and strips of the same designation, specification,
processing state, at not exceeding 30 tons. For steel strips weighing more than 30 tons,
each coil forms an inspection lot.
8.6 The inspection items, number of samples, sampling methods, test methods for each
batch of steel sheets and strips shall comply with the provisions of Table 15.
8.7 The supplier may use different inspection and test methods for acceptance testing.
In the event of a dispute, it shall use the inspection and test methods and relevant
technical requirements specified in this document for testing.
8.8 Reinspection
For tensile test, strain hardening index (n value), plastic strain ratio (r value), Rockwell
hardness or Vickers hardness, bending test, if any test result does not meet the
requirements of this document, it shall take double quantity of specimens randomly
from the same batch, to carry out reinspection for this unqualified item. If the re-
inspection results (including all indicators required for the test of item) are qualified,
the whole batch will be qualified. If even one index in the reinspection results (including
all indicators required for the test of the item) fails, the reinspection will fail. If the re-
inspection fails, the individual pieces that have been tested and have inconsistent test
results cannot be accepted; however, the individual pieces in the batch of materials that
have not been tested can be resubmitted for testing and acceptance one by one.
9 Packaging, marking, inspection documents
The packaging, marking, inspection documents of steel sheets and strips shall comply
with the requirements of Q/BQB 400.If the purchaser has special requirements for
packaging weight, these shall be noted in the contract.
10 Numerical rounding rules
The numerical judgment adopts the rounding value comparison method; the numerical
rounding shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 8170.
11 Comparison of similar designations
See Appendix C for a comparison of similar designations between this document and
relevant domestic and foreign standards.
