Foreword

This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This Standard replaces SH/T 0407-1992 "Standard test method for water soluble acids and alkalis of petroleum waxes". The main differences between this Standard and SH/T 0407-1992 are as follows: -- Modify the chapter "Method summary" (see 3; 2 of the 1992 edition); -- Add the chapter "Normative references" (see 2); -- Change the test temperature to "heat paraffin wax to 75 °C or just melt to transparent", "heat microcrystalline wax to 10 °C above the drop melting point or just melt to transparent" (see 6.2; 5.2 of the 1992 edition). This standard uses the redrafting method to modify and adopt the Japanese Industrial Standard JIS K 2252-1998 "Petroleum product reaction test method". In order to suit the national conditions in China, this Standard makes modification to JIS K 2252-1998 when adopting it. The main differences between this Standard and JIS K 2252-1998 are as follows: -- Adopt the corresponding national standards in China as the referenced standards of this Standard. -- Add specifications such as "heat paraffin wax to 75 °C or just melt to transparent", "heat microcrystalline wax to 10 °C above the drop melting point or just melt to transparent”.
