Vehicle classification of the toll for highway
1 Scope
This Standard specifies vehicle classification for vehicle classification of the toll for
highway.
This Standard applies to all vehicles driving on toll roads.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB 7258 apply.
For ease of use, certain terms and definitions from GB 7258 are repeated below.
3.1 passenger vehicle
Motor vehicles designed and manufactured mainly for carrying people, including those
equipped with special equipment or appliances but for the main purpose of carrying
people.

3.2 goods vehicle
Motor vehicles designed and manufactured primarily for carrying goods or for towing
trailers, also including:
a) Vehicles equipped with special equipment or appliances for the main purpose of
carrying goods;
b) Vehicles converted from non-enclosed trucks. Although they are equipped with
special equipment or appliances, not special motor vehicles.

3.3 special motor vehicle
Vehicles equipped with special equipment or appliances, designed and manufactured
for special engineering (including health and medical) operations, such as truck cranes,
fire trucks, concrete pump trucks, wrecker trucks, aerial work vehicles, road sweepers,
sewage suction trucks, drilling rig trucks, instrument vehicles, inspection vehicles,
monitoring vehicles, power supply vehicles, communication vehicles, TV vehicles,
blood collection vehicles, medical vehicles, medical examination vehicles. Motor
vehicles (except fire trucks) equipped with special equipment or appliances and having
more than 9 seats (including the driver's seat) are excluded.

3.4 trailer
Unpowered road vehicles designed and manufactured to be towed by a car or tractor
for normal use on the road, including drawbar trailers, central axle trailers and semi-
trailers, used for:
- Carrying goods;
- Special purpose.

3.5 passenger/car trailer combination
Combination of passenger car and central axle trailer.

3.6 goods road train
Combination of goods vehicle and drawbar trailer or central axle trailer.

3.7 articulated vehicle
Combination of semi-trailer tractor and semi-trailer, also including combination of
goods vehicle and semi-trailer with connecting plate.

3.8 motorcycle and moped
Road vehicles with two or three wheels driven by a power unit, excluding:
a) Three-wheeled vehicles with a curb weight of more than 400kg, without a cab, for
