Foreword
All the technical contents of this Standard are mandatory.
This Standard was formulated by referring to FOCT 21992-1983 Specifications of the
Special-Shaped Glass for Construction and EN 57207-1994 Wired and Non-Wired U-
Profile Glass. The appearance quality indicator and size specification are formulated
by referring to FOCT 21992-1983; while other indicators and inspection methods are
formulated by referring to EN 57207-1994. Meanwhile, the bending strength indicator
and the inspection method are determined according to the characteristics of U-
shaped glass and the domestic product condition.
The Appendix A of this Standard is the standard appendix.
This Standard was drafted and under the jurisdiction of Qinhuangdao Glass Research
and Design Institute of State Construction Materials Industry Administration.
Participating drafting organization of this Standard. Yunnan Kunming Chuangan U-
Shaped Glass Co., Ltd.
Chief drafting staffs of this Standard. Wang Yongheng, Lai Jiahua, and Yang Helu.
Construction U Shape Glass
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the classification, size specification, requirements, inspection
methods, inspection rules, package, transportation and storage of U-shaped glass.
This Standard is applicable to the U-shaped glass for construction and the like.
2 Normative References
The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this Standard,
constitute provisions of this Standard. At the time of publication, the editions indicated
are valid. All standards are subject to revision. The parties who are using this Standard
shall explore the possibility of using the latest version of the following standards.

3 Definition
This Standard adopts the following definition.
Construction U shape glass. glass produced mainly by continuous melting,
calendaring, forming and annealing glass batch materials.
than or equal to the number of allowable disqualified glass, then such batch of glass is
qualified. If the number of the disqualified glass is greater than or equal to the number
of disqualified glass for reference, then such batch of glass is disqualified; and the
secondary sample is not necessary.
If the number of disqualified glass in each sampling is greater than the number of
allowable disqualified glass, but less than the number of disqualified glass for reference,
then the secondary sampling is necessary.
7.3.2 If the number of disqualified glass in the accumulated quantity of the two samples
is less than or equal to the allowable disqualified glass, then such batch of glass if
qualified. If the number of disqualified glass in the accumulated quantity of the two
samples is greater than or equal to the number of disqualified glass for reference, then
such batch of glass is disqualified.
7.3.3 The metallic wire deviation, wing skewness, visible light transmittance, and
bending resistance of the U-shaped glass shall also conform to the provisions of 5.5,
5.6, 5.8, 5.9. Otherwise, such item is considered unqualified.
7.3.4 If one of the above items is unqualified, then such batch of glass is disqualified.
8 Marking, Package, Transportation and Storage
8.1 The U-shaped or double U-shaped glass of the same type, the same specification,
and the same grade can be in pairs with wing-to-wing; several pairs form a group; then
use a tape or plastic strip to bundle; and place them into the wooden box; the box can
be filled with foam and other materials for fixing and buffering effect. The outside of the
package box shall be marked with the word “fragile”.
8.2 Each package box shall be accompanied with a packing list, the content of which
shall include.
a) Manufacturer name and product trademark;
b) Glass model and color;
c) The number of glass (m2);
d) Packer No. and date of package.
8.3 The U-shaped glass can be transported by any means of transport. When
transporting, the end of the glass shall be oriented toward the movement direction of
the transporting tool.
8.4 The U-shaped glass shall be placed in a well-ventilated place with its front vertically
