3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Fixing surface Fixing surface for ceramic tiles. 3.2 Ceramic tiles Building ceramic products in plate or block form, made of clay, feldspar and quartz as main raw materials, used to cover walls and floors. 3.3 Cementitious adhesive (C) Powdered mixture composed of hydraulic cementitious materials, aggregates, additives, etc., which needs to be mixed with water or other liquid mixtures when used. 3.4 Dispersion adhesive (D) Organic adhesive composed of water-based polymer emulsion, additives, mineral fillers, which can be used directly after mixing. 3.5 Reaction resin adhesive (R) Single-component or multi-component mixture composed of synthetic resin, mineral filler, additives, which is cured by chemical reaction and is used after mixing evenly. 3.6 Notched trowel Notched tool that can apply adhesive to the fixing surface and the back of ceramic tiles in a combed strip with uniform thickness. 3.7 Application to one surface only The adhesive layer applied only to the fixing surface, with uniform thickness obtained by combing with a notched trowel.

4 Classification, code and marking

4.1 Classification and code 4.1.1 Ceramic tile adhesives are divided into three types, represented by English letters. 4.1.2 Ceramic tile adhesives are classified according to different properties. The codes for these classifications are represented by the following numbers and letters. 4.1.3 Ceramic tile adhesives can be combined into different types of products according to fundamental characteristic, additional characteristic, special characteristic. The product code consists of three parts. The first part uses letters to indicate the type of product; 4.2 Marking The product is marked in the following order. standard number, product category, code. Example 1.Anti-slip ordinary cementitious adhesive that meets the requirements of this standard is marked as.

5 General requirements

The production and use of the products included in this standard shall not cause harmful effects on human body, organisms, environment;

6 Technical requirements

6.1 Cementitious adhesive (C) Cementitious adhesive shall meet the fundamental characteristic required by C1 in Table 2. 6.2 Requirements for dispersion adhesive (D) All dispersion adhesives shall comply with the basic performance requirements given in D1 in Table 4 and the additional characteristic of (enhanced) products given in D2. 6.3 Requirements for reactive resin adhesive (R) All reactive resin adhesives shall meet the fundamental characteristic requirements specified in R1 in Table 6 and the additional characteristic of R2 (enhanced) products. Table 7 lists the special characteristic required of adhesives in specific use environments.

7 Test method

7.1 Specimen The specimen shall be at least 2 kg of representative samples. 7.2 Test conditions The standard test conditions are ambient temperature (23 ± 2) °C, relative humidity (50 ± 5)%, the circulating wind speed in the test area shall be less than 0.2 m/s. Other test conditions are specified in 7.10 ~ 7.13 of this standard. The test time is the time interval from the time when the adhesive is mixed with water or liquid to the time when the tensile adhesion strength is measured. The curing time deviation of all test samples is shown in Table 8. 7.3 Test materials 7.3.1 Before testing, all test materials (including water) shall be placed under standard test conditions for at least 24 hours. The test adhesive shall be within its specified storage period. 7.3.2 The ceramic tiles shall be checked in advance to be unused, clean and dry. 7.4 Mixing steps 7.5 Test substrate 7.5.1 Test concrete slab substrate The test concrete slab adopts two sizes. 400 mm × 400 mm × 40 mm and 400 mm × 200 mm × 40 mm. If the test results are controversial, the 400 mm × 400 mm × 40 mm concrete slab shall be used. The moisture content of the concrete slab shall be less than 3% (mass percentage); the surface water absorption in 4h shall be controlled between 0.5 cm³ and 1.5 cm³. The preparation and requirements of concrete slabs are shown in Appendix A. 7.6 Failure mode 7.6.1 Adhesive failure - AF-S or AF-T The test value is equal to the adhesion strength when the failure occurs at the interface between the adhesive and the substrate (AF-S) or the interface between the adhesive and the ceramic tile (AF-T) (see Figures 1a) and 1b)). In some cases, the failure may occur in the bonding layer (BF) between the ceramic tile and the pull head (see Figure 1c)). In this case, the adhesion strength is greater than the test value, the test data is invalid, the test shall be repeated. 7.7 Test report 7.7.1 General The test report shall include the following. 7.7.2 Test results of cementitious adhesives and dispersion adhesives The test report shall report the following information. 7.8 Determination of open time 7.8.1 General The open time test shall be carried out according to the standard test conditions and steps specified in 7.2 and the following provisions. 7.8.2 Test materials 7.8.3 Instruments 7.8.3.1 Pressing block. Cross-sectional dimensions of 50 mm × 50 mm, capable of uniformly applying a pressure of (2000 ± 15) g. 7.8.3.2 Puller. It consists of a metal block with a side length of (50 ± 1) mm and a minimum thickness of 10 mm connected to the testing machine. 7.8.5 Evaluation and expression of test results The tensile adhesion strength is calculated according to formula (1), accurate to 0.1 MPa. 7.9.2 Test materials 7.9.2.1 Ceramic tiles. Category AIa extruded ceramic tiles in accordance with the requirements of Appendix A of GB/T 4100-2015 [water absorption (0.1% ~ 0.5%) measured by boiling method], unglazed, surface size (100 ± 1) mm × (100 ± 1) mm, mass (200 ± 10) g, thickness 8 mm ~ 10 mm. 7.9.2.2 Test substrate. in accordance with the requirements of 7.5.1. 7.9.3 Instruments 7.9.3.1 Steel ruler. 7.9.4 Test steps Ensure that the edge of the steel ruler is placed on the top of the concrete slab and is level with the bottom edge of the steel ruler, when the concrete slab is erected. Apply 25 mm wide masking tape close to the bottom edge of the steel ruler. Apply a thin layer of adhesive to the concrete slab with a straight-edged spatula. 7.12 Determination of lateral deformation 7.12.1 General The lateral deformation test shall be carried out according to the standard test conditions and procedures specified in 7.2 and the following provisions. 7.12.2 Test materials and instruments 7.12.2.1 Isolation film. Polyethylene film with a minimum thickness of 0.15 mm.

8 Inspection rules

8.1 Inspection classification According to the inspection type, it is divided into exit-factory inspection and type inspection. 8.1.1 Exit-factory inspection The exit-factory inspection items of adhesives are shown in Table 9. 8.2 Group batching Products produced under the same batching process conditions under continuous production are considered a batch. 100t of category C products are considered a batch; 10t of category D and R products are considered a batch. If the quantity is less than the above, it is also considered a batch. 8.3 Sampling Randomly sample each batch of products. taking 20 kg of samples for category C, or 5 kg of samples for category D and R; mix them thoroughly. After sampling, divide the sample into two sets. One is tested and the other is retained. 8.4 Judgment rules If the product test results meet the basic performance of the corresponding category in Chapter 6 of the standard and the special performance provisions agreed upon in the contract between the supplier and the buyer, the batch of products is judged to be qualified.

9 Marking, packaging, transportation, storage

9.1 Marking The outer packaging of the product shall include. 9.2 Packaging Category C products should be packaged in composite packaging bags. Category D and R products should be canned. Multi-component products shall be packaged separately according to the components; the packaging of different components shall be clearly distinguished. 9.3 Transportation and storage During storage and transportation, products of different types and specifications shall be stacked separately and shall not be mixed. Avoid exposure to sunlight and rain, avoid approaching fire sources, prevent collisions, pay attention to ventilation.
