1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms, technical requirements, test methods,
inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of narrow-
gauge trolley type mine electric locomotive.
This Standard applies to the narrow-gauge trolley type mine electric locomotive
(hereinafter referred to as electric locomotive) used under non-explosion-proof
environmental conditions.
2 Normative references
The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this
Standard, constitute provisions of this Standard. For the dated references, their
subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to
this Standard. However, the parties who enter into agreement based on this
Standard are encouraged to investigate whether the latest editions of these
documents are applicable. For undated reference documents, the latest
editions apply to this Standard.
GB/T 191 Packaging - Pictorial marking for handling of goods (GB/T 191-
2000, eqv ISO 780:1997)

b) Train speed corresponding to the one-hour rating of the traction motor at
the rated voltage and a given excitation (this speed is applicable to a
powered vehicle with a half-wear state driving wheel).
Unless otherwise specified, the given excitation refers to the rated full field.
3.3
Tractive effort
The force of the traction motor acting on the tread of the driving wheel flange
when the electric locomotive is in traction.
3.4
Draw-bar pull
The tractive effort measured at the draw-bar of the motor vehicle. Unless
otherwise specified, it refers to the draw-bar pull on a straight track.
3.5
One-hour tractive effort
The tractive effort corresponding to the one-hour power of the traction motor at
rated voltage and given excitation (this tractive effort is applicable to a powered
vehicle with a half-wear state driving wheel). Unless otherwise specified, this
tractive effort is measured under full field.
3.6
Breakaway force
The maximum resistance immediately before all the wheels of the train start to
turn.
3.7
Axle load
The sum of the vertical forces exerted on the horizontal track by each axle of
the stationary mine electric locomotive in working order.
3.8
Mass in working order
The sum of the mass of empty mine electric locomotive, the mass of the crew,
5 Technical requirements
5.1 Use environmental conditions
5.1.1 The altitude does not exceed 2000m.
5.1.2 The ambient temperature is -25°C~+40°C.
5.1.3 The average relative humidity of the wettest month is not more than 90%.
The average minimum temperature of the same month is not higher than +25°C.
5.1.4 The voltage of the electric locomotive shall meet the requirements of GB/T
999.
5.1.5 When the use environmental conditions of the electric locomotive exceed
the above conditions, it shall be determined by the user and the manufacturer
through negotiation.
5.2 Limit deviations of external dimensions
5.2.1 The limit deviation of the length dimension is ±1%.
5.2.2 The limit deviation of the width dimension is ±0.5%.
5.2.3 The limit deviation of the height dimension is ±1%.
5.3 Variation range of working height of pantograph
5.3.1 For underground electric locomotives, it shall not be less than 400mm.
5.3.2 For narrow-gauge open-pit electric locomotives, it shall not be less than
800mm.
5.3.3 For adit and open-pit dual-purpose electric locomotives, it shall not be less
than 1200mm.
5.4 Limit deviations of mass in working order, axle load and wheel weight
5.4.1 The limit deviation of the mass in working order to the nominal adhesive
weight is 0%~10%.
5.4.2 In working order, the limit deviation of any actual axle load from the actual
average axle load is ±3%.
5.4.3 In working order, the difference between the actual wheel weight on either
side and the average of the actual wheel weight on both sides is ±4%. For any
given axle, the limit deviation of each actual wheel weight from the actual
5.10.2 No oil leakage is allowed at the wheel bearings of the electric locomotive.
5.11 Wheel set
5.11.1 The wheel set shall comply with the provisions of JB/T 5865.
5.11.2 The wheel tread profile shall meet the requirements of GB/T 4695.
5.11.3 For combined transmission, the tolerance of wheel rolling circle diameter
is not more than 0.75mm.
5.11.4 For non-combined transmission, the tolerance of wheel rolling circle
diameter is not more than 2mm.
5.12 Braking
5.12.1 When the one-hour speed of the electric locomotive is greater than or
equal to 10km/h, the electric locomotive shall have at least two braking methods.
5.12.2 The brake-shoe of the braking device shall comply with the regulations
of JB/T 3267. When braking, it shall be close to the wheel.
5.12.3 The braking ratio (the ratio of the brake-shoe pressure to the nominal
adhesive weight value) shall meet the following requirements:
a) The braking ratio of the manual braking device is not less than 70%;
b) The braking ratio of dynamic braking (excluding electric braking) device is
not less than 80%. The maximum braking ratio of underground electric
locomotives shall not exceed 100%. The maximum braking ratio of electric
locomotives for narrow-gauge open-pit use shall not exceed 110%;
c) The normal braking ratio with train braking device is not less than 70%;
the emergency braking ratio is not less than 80%.
5.12.4 When a single machine is running on a flat track at the maximum speed,
and an emergency braking is applied, the braking distance for the underground
electric locomotive shall meet the requirements of Table 3. The braking distance
for the open-pit locomotive shall meet the requirements of Table 4.

5.23 Safety protection
The electric locomotive must be designed with a simple and reliable cab and
door for installation.
5.24 Instrument and marker lamp
5.24.1 Electric locomotives with a one-hour speed of 10km/h and above shall
be equipped with a speed indicator. Electric locomotives with air brakes shall
be equipped with air pressure gauges.
5.24.2 Electric locomotives shall be equipped with red marker lamps, to show
the direction of travel.
5.25 Corrosion resistance
5.25.1 Except for friction surfaces, the surfaces of all metal and wooden parts
shall have anti-corrosion protective coating.
5.25.2 The painting shall conform to the requirements of the drawings.
6 Test methods
The product test methods shall be in accordance with the regulations of JB/T
3114 and GB/T 10762.
7 Inspection rules
7.1 Inspection classification
Electric locomotive inspection includes inspection after final assembly, exit-
factory test, type test, industrial operation test, acceptance test and research
test. The results of research tests shall not be used as the basis for product
evaluation. Before the product test, according to the items listed in Table 7, carry
out the inspection after final assembly. After passing the inspection, carry out
the test according to the items listed in Table 8.
7.2 Inspection after final assembly
7.2.1 When the final assembly of the product is completed, it shall be inspected
before it enters the exit-factory test.
7.2.2 The inspection after final assembly shall be carried out in accordance with
the inspection items listed in Table 7.

8 Marking, packaging, transportation and storage
8.1 Marking
8.1.1 Electric locomotives used in underground mines shall have a mining
product mark approval certificate issued by a designated organization of the
state. The safety mark certificates and nameplates of mining products shall be
reliably fixed.
8.1.2 The nameplates of electric locomotives, safety mark certificates and
warning signs of mining products must be made of bronze, brass or stainless
steel. The thickness shall not be less than 1mm. But the thickness of the
nameplates and warning signs of instruments and meters is allowed to be no
less than 0.5mm.
8.1.3 The basic content of the nameplate of electric locomotive:
a) Manufacturer name;
b) Product name;
c) Trademark;
d) Product model;
e) Mark (when necessary);
f) Manufacturing date (or serial number) or production batch number, exit-
factory serial number;
g) Main parameters of product (such as the adhesive weight, gauge, rated
voltage, one-hour tractive effort, one-hour speed of electric locomotive);
h) Mining product safety mark certificate number.
8.1.4 For electric locomotives with four axles, the sequence number of the axles
shall be marked on the axle box or the upper appropriate position. And it shall
match the sequence number of the motor on the electrical schematic diagram.
8.1.5 Except for the friction surface and contact surface, the exposed conductor
shall have red marks.
8.1.6 If the door of the electric apparatus room (box) does not have a safety
locking device, there shall be a warning sign preventing electric shock.
8.2 Packaging
8.2.1 The packaging shall meet the requirements of GB/T 13384. The
packaging form can be negotiated between the user and the manufacturer.
8.2.2 The packaging container shall have sufficient strength and shock
resistance; shall be rain-proof, moisture-proof, and corrosion-proof by acid and
alkali substances.
8.2.3 The exposed surface and coating of electric locomotive shall be subjected
to anti-rust and anti-corrosion treatment.
8.2.4 Documents accompanying the package:
a) Product conformity certificate;
b) Product specification;
c) Packing list;
d) List of accompanying spare parts, accessories and tools;
e) Other relevant technical information;
f) Copy of "mining product safety mark certificate".
8.2.5 Packaging mark:
The writing or symbols of the packaging mark shall be clear, not falling off, and
not fading. Its contents are as follows:
a) Product model, name and quantity;
b) Exit-factory number and box number (or contract number);
c) Overall dimensions of the box (length×width×height);
d) Package weight;
e) Packing date;
f) Arrival and receiving organization;
g) Sending and forwarding organization;
h) Handling symbols shall meet the requirements of GB/T 191.
8.2.6 From the date of shipment, under normal storage and transportation
conditions, the manufacturer shall ensure that, for at least one year, the product
