GB/T 4343.2-2020 GB NATIONAL STANDARD OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA ICS 33.100 K 64 GB/T 4343.2-2020 / CISPR 14-2:2015 Replacing GB/T 4343.2-2009 Electromagnetic Compatibility Requirements for Household Appliances, Electric Tools and Similar Apparatus – Part 2: Immunity (CISPR 14-2:2015, Electromagnetic Compatibility – Requirements for Household Appliances, Electric Tools and Similar Apparatus – Part 2: Immunity – Product Family Standard, IDT) ISSUED ON: DECEMBER 14, 2020 IMPLEMENTED ON: JULY 01, 2021 Issued by: State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of PRC. Table of Contents Foreword ... 3 Introduction ... 5 1 Scope ... 6 2 Normative References ... 7 3 Terms, Definitions, and Abbreviations ... 8 4 Classification of Apparatus ... 11 5 Tests ... 12 6 Performance Criteria ... 17 7 Applicability of Immunity Tests ... 18 8 Conditions during Testing ... 19 9 Assessment of Conformity ... 20 Annex A (informative) Guidance for Permissible Degradation ... 23 Bibliography ... 24 Foreword Electromagnetic Compatibility Requirements for Household Appliances, Electric Tools and Similar Apparatus can be divided into the following 2 parts: --- Part 1: Emission (GB 4343.1); --- Part 2: Immunity (GB/T 4343.2). This Part is Part 2 of GB/T 4343. This Part was drafted as per the rules of GB/T 1.1-2009. This Part replaced GB/T 4343.2-2009 Electromagnetic Compatibility - Requirements for Household Appliances, Electric Tools and Similar Apparatus - Part 2: Immunity. Compared with GB/T 4343.2-2009, the major technical changes of this Part are as follows: --- 5.1: For electrostatic testing on connecting plugs and sockets ("4kV contact discharge shall be applied to conductive and accessible parts. For example, metal contacts in battery compartments or sockets are excluded."), it indicates that there is no need to test the contact. GB/T 17626.2-2018 includes detailed instructions on how to handle electrostatic discharge (ESD) on contacts and other surfaces. At the same time, the basic standard GB/T 17626.2-2018 requires discharge on the horizontal coupling plate (HCP) and vertical coupling plate (VCP). --- 5.3 and 5.4: According to GB/T 17626.6-2017, the DC power port test table is aligned with the general standard, and it is the same for 5.3 and 5.4. --- 5.3 and 5.4: For EUTs that use single-wire cables and no other cables, use the test setup shown in Figure 2. The settings described in Annex F of GB/T 17626.6- 2017 shall not be used. --- 5.5: GB/T 17626.22-2017 works as an alternative method of radiated immunity test. --- 5.6: Line-to-ground surge is not applicable to products that are not grounded. This Part uses the translation method to equivalently adopt CISPR 14-2:2015 Electromagnetic Compatibility – Requirements for Household Appliances, Electric Tools and Similar Apparatus – Part 2: Immunity – Product Family Standard. The Chinese documents that have a consistent correspondence with the international documents cited in this Part are as follows: --- GB/T 4365-2003 Electrotechnical Terminology - Electromagnetic Compatibility [IEC 60050(161):1990, IDT] This Part made the following editorial modifications: --- Change the standard name into Electromagnetic Compatibility Requirements for Household Appliances, Electric Tools and Similar Apparatus – Part 2: Immunity. --- Add the “Bibliography”. This Part was proposed by and under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Radio Interference of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 79). The historical editions replaced by this Standard are as follows: --- GB 4343.2-1999, GB/T 4343.2-2009. Electromagnetic Compatibility Requirements for Household Appliances, Electric Tools and Similar Apparatus – Part 2: Immunity 1 Scope 1.1 This Part deals with the electromagnetic immunity of appliances and similar apparatus for household and similar purposes that use electricity, as well as electric toys and electric tools, the rated voltage of the apparatus being not more than 250 V for single-phase apparatus to be connected to phase and neutral, and 480 V for other apparatus. Apparatus may incorporate motors, heating elements or their combination, may contain electric or electronic circuitry, and may be powered by the mains, by transformer, by batteries, or by any other electrical power source. Apparatus not intended for household use, but which nevertheless may require the immunity level, such as apparatus intended to be used by laymen in shops, in light industry and on farms, are within the scope of this standard, as far as they are included in GB 4343.1. In addition, the following are also included in the scope of this Part: – microwave ovens for domestic use and catering; – cooking hobs and cooking ovens, heated by means of R.F. energy; – (single- and multiple-zone) induction cooking appliances; – appliances for personal care equipped with radiators in the range from UV to IR, inclusive (this includes visible light); – power supplies and battery chargers provided with or intended for apparatus within the scope of this Part. 1.2 This Part does not apply to: – equipment for lighting purposes; – apparatus designed exclusively for heavy industrial purposes; – apparatus intended to be part of the fixed electrical installation of buildings (such as fuses, circuit breakers, cables and switches); ......
