The series comprises the following. -- GB/T 27 Hexagon Fit Shank Bolts -- GB/T 28 Hexagon Fit Shank Bolts with Split Pin Hole on Shank -- GB/T 29.1 Hexagon Bolts with Slot on Head -- GB/T 29.2 Hexagon Bolts with Cross Recess on Head -- GB/T 31.1 Hexagon Bolts with Split Pin Hole on Shank -- GB/T 31.2 Hexagon Bolts with Split Pin Hole on Shank – Reduced Shank – Product Grade B -- GB/T 31.3 Hexagon Bolts with Split Pin Hole on Shank – Fine Pitch Thread - Product Grades A and B -- GB/T 32.1 Hexagon bolts with wire holes on head – Product Grades A and B -- GB/T 32.2 Hexagon Bolts with Wire Holes on Head – Reduced Shank – Product Grade B -- GB/T 32.3 Hexagon Bolts with Wire Holes on Head – Fine Pitch Thread – Product Grades A and B -- GB/T 5780 Hexagon Head Bolts – Product Grade C -- GB/T 5781 Hexagon Head Bolts – Full Thread – Product Grade C -- GB/T 5782 Hexagon Head Bolts -- GB/T 5783 Hexagon Head Bolts – Full Thread -- GB/T 5784 Hexagon Head Bolts – Reduced Shank – Product Grade B -- GB/T 5785 Hexagon Head Bolts – Fine Pitch Thread -- GB/T 5786 Hexagon Head Bolts with Fine Pitch Thread – Full Thread This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This Standard replaces GB/T 5782-2000, Hexagon Head Bolts. Compared with GB/T 5782-2000, the main technical differences are as follows. -- it deletes “If, in special cases, specifications other than those listed in this Standard are required, they can be selected from existing Standards, ... GB/T 3098.6 and GB/T 3103.1.” (Chapter 1, Edition 2000); -- it unifies reference thread standards into GB/T 193 and GB/T 9145 (Chapter 2); -- it specifies the surface defects only for the steel products. GB/T 5779.1 (Table 3); -- it adds that the surface of steel bolts is as processed and deletes oxidized (Table 3); -- it adds the technical requirements of non-electrolytically applied zinc flake coatings of steel bolts (Table 3); -- it adds the technical requirements of passivating treatment of stainless steel nuts in accordance with GB/T 5267.4 (Table 3); -- it adds the technical requirements of electroplating of non-ferrous metal bolts in accordance with GB/T 5267.1; and -- it is only allowed to omit Designation that the surface is as processed (5.2). This Standard was redrafted by reference to ISO 4014.2011, Hexagon Head Bolts – Product Grades A and B (English edition). The technical differences between this Standard and ISO 4014.2011 and their reasons are as follows. -- it deletes the specification of ISO 4014, “If, in special cases, specifications other than those listed in this International Standard are required, they can be selected from existing International Standards, ... ISO 4753 and 4759-1” (Chapter 1), which does not belong to the content of this Standard; -- in the Normative References, it uses Chinese standards to replace the international standards (Chapter 2), adds the references of GB/T 90.2 (Table 3), GB/T 193 (Table 3), GB/T 9145 (Table 3), GB/T 5267.4 (Table 3) and GB/T 1237 (5.1), and deletes the references of ISO 724 and ISO 965-1, in order to meet Chinese basic standards of fasteners; -- it adds the technical requirements of passivating treatment of stainless steel bolts (Table 3) and extend the scope of product use; -- it adds the technical requirements of packaging (Table 3), in order to meet Chinese basic standards of fasteners; and -- it modifies the Example of Designation into the Simplified Example of Designation (5.2), in order to meet the specifications of GB/T 1237. The following editorial modifications are made in this Standard. Hexagon Head Bolts 1 Scope This Standard specifies the dimensions, technical requirements and designation of hexagon head bolts.
