1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, structure, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, installation and operating instructions, packaging, transportation and storage, of the electronic controllers for gas burners and gas-burning appliances, which are used for city gas, as specified in GB/T 13611. This standard applies to the electronic controllers for gas burners and gas- burning appliances, of the gas water heaters, gas heating water heaters, gas burners/machines, gas steam generators, gas boilers, gas stoves and other combustion appliances, which have automatic combustion control functions.

2 Normative references

The following documents are essential to the application of this document. 3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 30597, GB/T 14536.1, GB/T 14536.6, GB/T 20438.4, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document. For ease of use, some terms and definitions in GB/T 30597, GB/T 14536.1, GB/T 14536.6, GB/T 20438.4 are repeatedly listed below. 3.1 Combustion control 3.1.5 Ignition safety time The time interval, FROM when the gas valve is turned on TO when no flame signal is detected and the gas valve is turned off. 3.1.6 Safety shut-down The realization of safety cut-off of gas, through limiter, safety cut-off device or internal fault detection of the system. Note. Rewrite GB/T 14536.6-2008, definition 2.3.122. 3.1.7 Non-volatile lock-out A kind of safe shutdown state of the system, that the system restart can only be achieved through the system's manual reset device. 3.1.8 Volatile lock-out A kind of safe shutdown state of the system, that the system restart can only be achieved through a system's manual reset device or power-off restart.

4 Categories

The controller is divided into three categories. category A, category B, category C, according to the safety of its control functions. The classification principle shall comply with the provisions of 4.1.2 in GB/T 30597-2014.

5 Structure

5.1 Protection provided by the enclosure 5.1.1 When the controller is installed and used in the manner, which is declared by the manufacturer, it shall have a degree of protection, which is suitable for its use. 5.2 Structure design of controller 5.2.1 The structural appearance requirements of the controller shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 11 of GB/T 14536.6-2008. 5.2.2 When the controller has two or more control functions, it shall meet the following requirements. 5.2.3 When the controller is composed of two or more functional modules, it shall meet the following requirements. 5.3 Circuit structure of internal fault protection 5.3.1 Circuit structure of category A controller Category A controllers have no circuit structure requirements for internal fault protection. 5.3.2 Circuit structure of category B controller The circuit structure of the category B controller shall at least conform to one of the following structures. 5.3.3 Circuit structure of category C controller

6 Requirements

6.1 Function When the controller is designed according to function, it can be divided into the following functional modules; each module shall meet the requirements of Appendix B ~ Appendix F. 6.2 Thermal stress 6.2.1 Under normal conditions of use, the electronic components of the controller shall be able to adapt to cyclical changes, between the highest temperature and the lowest temperature. Note. The temperature change may be due to changes in the ambient temperature, 6.2.2 Under the load specified by the manufacturer, after the thermal stress test is carried out, according to the test method in 7.3, the controller shall be able to work normally AND meet the functional requirements specified in 6.1. 6.3 Continuous operation performance 6.3.1 The controller shall comply with the provisions of D.2.2.3 in GB/T 30597- 2014.It shall complete at least 250000 normal start-up operation cycles, without failure. 6.5 Safety of electrical components The controller shall meet the requirements of 6.3.8 in GB/T 30597-2014. 6.6 EMC safety The electromagnetic compatibility safety of the controller shall meet the requirements of Appendix H. 6.7 Battery-powered controller The battery-powered controller shall comply with the provisions of Appendix I.

7 Test method

7.1 Test conditions and allowable errors 7.1.1 Test conditions The controller shall be tested under the following test conditions. 7.1.2 Tolerance After the system reaches a stable temperature, the measurement is performed; the unit measurement error shall meet the following requirements. 7.2 Function test 7.2.1 At ambient temperature According to the manufacturer's instructions, under the conditions specified in 7.2.2 At low temperatures Repeat the test of 7.2.1, under the conditions of 0 °C OR the declared lowest ambient temperature (whichever is smaller). 7.2.3 At high temperatures Repeat the test of 7.2.1, under the conditions of 60 °C OR the declared highest ambient temperature (whichever is larger). 7.3 Thermal stress test The controller is tested, in accordance with the provisions of D.3.2.1 in GB/T 30597-2014. 7.5 Internal fault protection test The controller is tested, in accordance with the provisions of D.3.3 in GB/T 30597-2014.When the internal fault protection test is performed on the category C controller, the second fault shall be introduced, under the following conditions.

8 Inspection rules

8.1 Exit-factory inspection 8.1.3 Judgment rules According to the provisions of 8.1.2, judge whether the batch of products are accepted or not. For the unacceptable batch, after the unqualified items are 100% inspected, the unqualified products shall be rejected or corrected; THEN the inspection shall be carried out again, according to the provisions of 8.1.2. 8.2 Type inspection 8.2.1 Inspection conditions Type inspection shall be carried out, in one of the following situations. 8.2.2 Inspection items Type inspection items are as shown in Table 2. 8.2.3 Type inspection data The type inspection information, to be provided by the manufacturer, shall at least include the following. 8.2.4 Evaluation document The evaluation document, which is provided by the manufacturer, shall include at least the following contents. 8.2.5 Type inspection specimen The manufacturer shall provide the simulated load and external components, which are required to complete each test. Meanwhile, it shall provide at least 4 controller specimens, at the same time. The specimens, which are required by the main test, are as follows. 8.2.6 Judgment rules When all the inspection items of the sample meet the requirements, it is judged as qualified.

9 Signs, installation and operating instructions

9.1 Signs The signs of the controller shall not only comply with the provisions of 8.1 in GB/T 30597-2014, but also include at least the rated voltage or voltage range. 9.2 Installation and operating instructions The installation and operation instructions of the controller shall not only comply with the provisions of 8.2.1 in GB/T 30597-2014, but also include at least the following contents. 9.3 Warning notice The warning notice shall be attached to the packing box of each batch of controllers; its content is "Please read the instructions carefully before use; the controller shall be installed in a location, that meets the current requirements."

10 Packaging, transportation, storage

The packaging, transportation, storage of the controller shall comply with the requirements in Chapter 9 of GB/T 30597-2014. ......
