Foreword
This standard replaces GB/T 3650-1995 “The general rules for inspection, packing,
storing transportation, marking and certification of ferroalloy”.
Compared with GB/T 3650-1995, the main changes in this standard are as follows:
--- A foreword is added to the standard;
--- Some ferroalloy products and the elements that must be measured in Table 1 are
adjusted;
--- The contents of marks and labels are supplemented;
--- A part of the content of the quality certificate is modified.
This standard was proposed by China Iron and Steel Association.
This standard shall be under the jurisdiction of the Technical Committee on Pig Irons
and Ferroalloys of Standardization Administration of China.

China Metallurgical Information and Standardization Institute, Shanxi Jinneng Holding

1 Scope
This standard specifies the acceptance inspection, packing, storage, transportation,
marking, and quality certificate of ferroalloy.
This standard applies to the delivery of ferroalloy products.
2 Normative references
The provisions in the following documents become the provisions of this standard
through reference in this standard. For the dated references, the subsequent amendments
(excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this Part, however, parties who
reach an agreement based on this standard are encouraged to study if the latest versions
of these documents are applicable. For undated references, the latest edition of the
referenced document applies to this standard.
GB/T 1250 Rules for expression and judgment of limiting values
3 Acceptance inspection
3.1 The technical requirements of ferroalloy products shall comply with the provisions
of the corresponding standards, and the elements that must be measured for each
product shall comply with the provisions of Table 1. If the buyer has special
requirements, the supplier and the buyer shall negotiate separately.
3.2 Ferroalloy products shall be strictly finished, and the surface and section shall not
have non-metallic inclusions that are visible to the eyes, but a small number of slag
inclusions and ingot mold coatings are allowed to exist.
3.3 The buyer can re-inspect the quality of ferroalloy products according to the
corresponding standards. If there is any objection, it shall be raised within 30 days of
arrival. In principle, the product is not allowed to be used before the re-inspection.
When there is any objection to the delivery batch, the supply and demand parties shall
arbitrate according to the relevant national standards for ferroalloy products. If there is
no corresponding national standard, the arbitration shall be stipulated according to the
agreement between the supplier and the buyer.
