for Liquefied Petroleum Gas Vehicles
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, test conditions, suspension test
conditions, test items, test methods and test report of approval evaluation test of
combustible Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) vehicles.
This Standard is applicable to install special LPG device on the vehicle with type
approved, and replace the LPG motor on the dedicated and bi-fuel LPG vehicles; the
newly-developed basic LPG vehicles can refer to this Standard to apply.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions stipulated in GB/T 3730.1-2001, GB/T 15089-2001, GB/T
17895 are applicable to this document.
4 Test Conditions and Suspension Test Conditions
4.1 Test conditions
2) Full throttle overtaking acceleration performance test.
d) Maximum degree of climbing shall be tested as per GB/T 12539.
5.6 Fuel economy test
The fuel economy test shall be performed under the various fuel usage states; the M1
vehicle, M2 vehicle with maximum mass no greater than 3.5t and N1 vehicle shall be
tested as per GB/T 12545.1; while the M2 vehicle with maximum mass greater than
3.5t, M3 vehicle, N2 vehicle and N3 vehicle shall be tested as per GB/T 12545.2.
5.7 Noise test
The noise test inside the vehicle at uniform speed and in various fuel usage states
shall be performed as per GB/T 18697.
5.8 Braking performance test
It shall be performed as per GB 7258.
5.9 Controllability and stability test
Compared with the original vehicle, the vehicle with axle load exceeding 5% shall be
performed the controllability and stability test, while the test items shall include.
a) Returnability test shall be performed as per GB/T 6323.4;
b) Steering efforts test shall be performed as per GB/T 6323.5;
c) Steady static circular test shall be performed as per GB/T 6323.6.
5.10 Starting performance test
The starting performance test with various fuels shall be performed as per GB/T 12535.
5.11 Reliability running test
5.11.1 The reliability running test can be performed either on the vehicle test site or
the conventional reliability test road; under the circumstance of meeting the site
requirements and LPG supply condition, the reliability running test shall be, in principle,
performed on the vehicle test site.
5.11.2 If the reliability running test is carried out on the test site, the mileage
distribution can refer to Table 1; if the reliability running test is carried out on the
conventional reliability test road, the mileage distribution can refer to Table 2.
