1 Scope

This standard specifies the scope of application, terms and definitions, models, basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings, accompanied files and accessories, transport, storage, and quality assurance period of garden patrol minibus (hereinafter referred to as sightseeing vehicles). This standard applies to garden patrol minibus and sightseeing combination trains (hereinafter referred to as sightseeing vehicles) that are driven by internal combustion engines, electric motors or alternately driven by the two. Other vehicles of the same type (such as hunting vehicles, etc.) can refer to it for implementation.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Garden patrol minibus The trackless wireless non-closed passenger vehicle that drives within a designated area, is alternately driven by electric motor, internal combustion engine or both, has 4 or more wheels, and has more than 6 seats (inclusive) and less than 23 seats (inclusive). This type of vehicle is mainly designed for leisure, sightseeing and excursions. It is suitable for vehicles operating in designated areas such as tourist scenic spots, integrated communities, and pedestrian streets. 3.2 Sightseeing combination bus A combination of a sightseeing vehicle and one or more compartments, which is used in the same area as that of the sightseeing vehicles. 3.3 Hill starting ability The ability of a sightseeing vehicle to start on a ramp with the maximum grade and to travel at least 10 m upward within 1 min (and when the motor current of the electric sightseeing vehicle is not greater than the allowable current).

4 Model representation

Sightseeing vehicle model is represented by the sightseeing vehicle code, power type, rated passenger capacity and update code.

5 Technical requirements

5.1 Basic requirements 5.1.1 Sightseeing vehicles shall be manufactured in accordance with drawings and technical documents approved by the stipulated procedures. 5.1.2 Sightseeing vehicles are marked on the signboard with durable materials and clear lettering in the obvious position. 5.1.3 The technical condition of the sightseeing vehicle body shall ensure that the driver has normal working conditions and passenger safety, and can provide a good sightseeing vision. 5.2 Requirements for structural dimensions and performance parameters 5.3 Vehicle body 5.3.1 The distribution, size, and strength of the seat shall meet the following requirements. 5.3.2 The floor of the sightseeing vehicle shall be non-slip. 5.3.9 The surface of the sightseeing vehicle frame shall be subject to anti-rust treatment before installation. 5.3.10 Wheels shall not extend beyond the body of the vehicle, to avoid injury to occupants due to objects thrown off by the wheel’s centrifugal force (dirt, stones, etc.). 5.4 Instruments, tell-tales and lighting devices 5.4.1 The internal combustion sightseeing vehicle shall be equipped with an odometer, speedometer, engine water temperature or water temperature warning light, oil pressure gauge (or oil pressure warning light), battery charging (alarm) indicator and fuel gauge, the sightseeing vehicles using pneumatic brake system shall also be equipped with barometers. 5.5 Braking system 5.5.1 The performance of sightseeing vehicle brakes shall comply with the relevant provisions of GB 7258-2012. 5.5.2 The sightseeing vehicle shall have a service brake system and a parking brake device that are in good condition to decelerate, stop and park the vehicle. The service brake shall be applied to all the wheels of the sightseeing vehicle. The control device of the service brake and of the parking brake shall be independent of each other. 5.6 Transmission system 5.6.1 The transmission system shall not have abnormal noise, the gearbox shall not have automatic disengagement or gear disordering. 5.6.2 The connecting device for sightseeing combination trains shall meet the requirements of 12.7 in GB 7258-2012. 5.7 Power system 5.7.1 The engine shall have good dynamic performance, stable operation, stable idle speed, no abnormal noise, and normal oil pressure. It shall have good start-up performance. 5.7.4 The motor for electric sightseeing vehicle walking adopts 60 min(S2) working system, the insulation grade of the motor is not lower than grade F; 5.8 Operating system 5.8.1 The functions and using requirements of each operating mechanism shall be described in detail in the instruction manual, clear and durable signs shall be used on the vehicle body to indicate the function of each operating mechanism. 5.9 Steering system 5.9.1 The steering wheel of the sightseeing vehicle shall not be set to the right. A steering limit device shall be provided. The steering wheel shall not swing on the road which is flat, hard, dry and clean. The maximum free rotation of the steering wheel from the middle position to the left or right corner shall not exceed 15°. 5.9.2 The steering mechanism shall be light and flexible. 5.12 Limited driving distance The limited driving distance of the electric sightseeing vehicle shall not be less than the design value. The design value can be found in the accompanied documents of instruction manual. 5.13 Environmental protection

6 Test methods

6.1 Preparation before the test 6.1.1 Before the test, it shall make the sightseeing vehicle have normal technical conditions, to ensure the accuracy of the test results. At the same time, in order to ensure safety and smooth test execution, every effort shall be made to eliminate hidden dangers and avoid accidents. 6.1.6 It shall make correction and calibration of various test instruments, equipment and measuring tools before testing (in the calibration validity period, calibration may not be repeated). 6.1.7 The state of the sightseeing vehicle during the test is as follows. 6.2 Pre-test inspection 6.3 Measurement of structural dimensions of sightseeing vehicles 6.3.1 The technical state of the sightseeing vehicle is as follows. Sightseeing vehicles are under no load state and full load state. 6.3.2 For the structural dimensions of the sightseeing vehicle, it shall measure the following items. 6.4 Measurement of sightseeing vehicle mass parameters 6.4.1 The technical state of the sightseeing vehicle is as follows. Sightseeing vehicles have no load state and full load state. 6.5 Static lateral stability test The sightseeing vehicle is in a no-load state, and the maximum side stability angle to the left and right sides is 35°, and the state of sightseeing vehicle is recorded. 6.6 Steering performance test 6.6.1 The steering wheel maximum free rotation test is performed as follows. The steering wheel is in a free state, measure the maximum free turning angle of the steering wheel from the middle position to the left side and right side, and record the results. 6.9 Limited driving distance Electric sightseeing vehicles are in no-load state and full load state on a straight cement or asphalt road, let it be in a round trip within the road section of 2 km (try not to use brakes if safety conditions can be met during the test), make it drive at maximum constant speed until the battery reaches the required level. Record the power consumption, the time used, and the limited driving distance. 6.10 Braking performance test

7 Inspection rules

8 Markings, accompanied documents, transport, storage

8.1 Markings 8.1.1 Fix a permanently-maintained signboard on the visible and hard-to-reach areas of the sightseeing vehicle. The signboard shall meet the requirements of clause 5.1.2. 8.2 Accompanied documents and accessories 8.2.1 The following documents shall accompany the exit-factory sightseeing vehicle. 8.3 Transport The product must be fixed and protected as necessary during loading, unloading and transportation to prevent damage to the product. 8.4 Storage

9 Quality assurance period

Users shall strictly maintain the important components and assemblies in accordance with the requirements of product use and maintenance.

10 Standard implementation
