This document is drafted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020
“Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of
standardizing documents”.
This document replaces GB/T 17608-2006 “Division of variety and grading for coal
products”. Compared with GB/T 17608-2006, except for structural adjustment and
editorial revisions, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) The “water-mined raw coal and low-quality coal” in the coal product category is
deleted, and the ash content technical requirements for “raw coal” is changed (see
Table 2; see Table 3 of the 2006 edition);
b) The technical requirements for the content of harmful elements in cleaned coal
products are changed (see Table 2; see Table 3 of the 2006 edition);
c) The classification of ash of coking cleaned coal for smelting and other coking
cleaned coal is changed (see 6.1.1; see 5.1.1 and 5.1.2 of the 2006 edition);
d) The ash classification of other coal products is changed (see 6.1.2; see 5.1.4 of the
2006 edition);
e) The requirements for the lower limit of calorific value of fuel coal products with
high ash are changed (see 6.3; see 5.3.2 of the 2006 edition).
