1 Scope

This Part of SN/T 1588 specifies the requirements, sampling, inspection as well as determination of inspection results of import-export luminaries for swimming pools and similar applications. This Part is applicable to the import and export inspection of stationary luminaires used in or in contact with water, such as swimming pool sinks, fountains, paddling pools and garden pools, of luminaires using tungsten filament lamps and LEDs. This Part is not applicable to the import and export inspection of luminaires that are not in contact with water (e.g., installed behind glass panels that are part of the fixture) or portable luminaires.

3 Terms and definitions

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in SN/T 1588.2 as well as the followings apply.

4 General requirements

4.1 Safety requirements The safety requirement for luminaries for swimming pools and similar applications shall comply with the provisions of GB 7000.218-2008 and GB 7000.1-2007. Country (regional) differences shall be considered when applicable. 4.2 Electromagnetic compatibility requirements When applicable, the electromagnetic compatibility requirements for luminaries for swimming pools and similar applications shall comply with the provisions of GB 17743 and GB 17625.1. Country (regional) differences shall be considered when applicable. 4.3 Optical radiation safety requirements When applicable, the optical radiation safety requirements for luminaries for swimming pools and similar applications shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 20145-2006. Country (regional) differences shall be considered when applicable. 4.4 Other requirements When applicable, it shall also meet the energy efficiency and environmental protection requirements of the technical regulations of the country (region) used.

5 Inspection

5.1 Selection of inspection supervision mode The inspection supervision mode for particular requirements for import-export luminaries for swimming pools and similar applications shall be either the sampling inspection mode, the type test mode or the conformity verification mode according to relevant national regulations and specific situation. 5.2 Inspection method The inspection method under different inspection and supervision modes is. - sampling inspection mode. batch-by-batch or random batch sampling inspection; - type test mode. type test + random batch sampling inspection; - conformity verification mode. conformity verification + random batch sampling inspection. 5.3 Type test 5.3.1 Sampling Randomly take representative samples from the stereotyped products according to the quantity specified in the product standard for testing. 5.3.2 Inspection content and requirements 5.3.2.1 Safety testing Test all applicable items according to the requirements of GB 7000.218-2008. When applicable, country (regional) differences shall be considered. 5.3.2.2 Electromagnetic compatibility testing When applicable. Test all applicable items according to the requirements of GB 17743 and GB 17625.1. Country (regional) differences shall be considered. 5.3.2.3 Optical radiation safety testing When applicable. Test all applicable items according to the requirements of GB/T 20145. Country (regional) differences shall be considered. 5.3.2.4 Other testing When applicable, it shall also be tested for energy efficiency and environmental protection in accordance with the technical regulations of the country (region) in use. 5.3.3 Result determination and validity period If all tests are qualified, the type test shall pass, otherwise it shall fail. ......
