This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given GB/T 1.1-2009. This part replaces GB/T 4094.2-2005 “electric vehicle-symbols for controls, indicators and tell-tales”. This part of GB/T 4094 specifies the unique symbols for controls, indicators and tell-tales of electric vehicles and the basic requirements of tell-tales displaying color. This part applies to electric vehicles.2 Normative references

Terms and definitions defined in GB 4094, GB/T 4782, GB/T19596 apply to this document.4 Requirements
4.1 If electric vehicles are equipped with controls, indicators and tell-tales of electric vehicles listed in Table 1, the corresponding symbols shall be marked. Symbols shall be consistent with the provisions of this part. 4.2 If electric vehicles are equipped with controls, indicators and tell-tales of electric vehicles listed in Table 2, the corresponding symbols may not be marked. If marked, the symbols shall comply with the provisions of this part. 4.4 If electric vehicles are equipped with controls, indicators and tell-tales that are not listed in the functions of this part, the corresponding symbols can be exempted from marking. 4.5 If it is deemed necessary to clarify the meaning of the symbols, it is allowed to supplement and add auxiliary information such as words, numbers and letters on the basis of the symbols listed in this part. 4.6 Symbols specified in this part are only limited to the following amendment; the amendment shall comply with the provisions of GB 4094.It shall not change the basic elements of symbols and affect the recognizability of symbols during the use. 4.7 Other requirements of symbols shall be consistent with the provisions of GB 4094. 4.8 The principles of self-designed symbols and design of adding auxiliary information shall be consistent with the provisions of GB 4094.5 Displaying color of tell-tales
Symbols for tell-tales given in this part shall comply with the colors specified in the provisions of this part. ds.6 Shape of symbols
