This Part of GB/T 2910 specifies method using cyclohexanone to determine, after removing the non-fibrous substances, the content of polyethylene fiber. This Part is only applicable to the mixtures of polyethylene and polypropylene blend fiber.2 Normative References

Use cyclohexanone to dissolve and remove the polypropylene fiber from the mixture with the known dry mass. Collect the residues, clean, dry and weigh; use the modified mass to calculate its mass percentage in the dry mass of mixture. The mass fraction of polypropylene fiber can be obtained from the difference above.4 Reagents
