This Standard specifies the designations, chemical compositions, chemical composition analysis, analysis report etc. of the cast ingots and processed products of zirconium and zirconium alloys for general industries and nuclear industry. This Standard applies to the cast ingots and processed products of zirconium and zirconium alloys for general industries and nuclear industry.2 Normative References
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition dated applies to this document. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced documents (including all amendments) applies to This Standard. GB/T 8170, Rules of rounding off for numerical values and expression and judgement of limiting values GB/T 13747 (all parts), Methods for chemical analysis of zirconium and zirconium alloys3 Chemical compositions
3.1 Designations and chemical compositions The designations and chemical compositions of zirconium and zirconium alloys shall be as specified in Table 1, including Zr-1, Zr-3 and Zr-5 for general industries, and Zr- 0, Zr-2 and Zr-4 for nuclear industry, but not limited to nuclear industry. 3.2 Other elements 3.2.1 Other elements refer to inherent microelements in the production process of zirconium and zirconium alloys, other than elements added artificially. 3.2.2 If the purchaser has any special requirement beyond those specified in Table 1, it shall be as agreed on by both sides and indicated in the contract, and the supplier shall carry out analysis of it. 3.2.3 Composition allowable deviations When the purchaser takes samples from products for chemical composition retest, their composition allowable deviations shall be as specified in Table 2.4 Chemical composition analysis and analysis report
4.1 The method for the arbitration analysis of element Nb in the chemical composition of zirconium and zirconium alloy products is as approved by both sides; and the analysis of other elements is as specified in GB/T 13747. 4.2 Unless specified otherwise in product standard, the supplier can take samples from cast ingots to carry out chemical composition analysis. 4.3 The second analysis is allowed for the chemical composition of zirconium and zirconium alloy products; and the result of the second analysis is deemed as the basis of final judgement. 4.4 The significant digits of the numerical results in the chemical composition analysis report shall be consistent with the significant digits of the corresponding boundary values in the chemical composition table. The digits behind the significant digits shall be rounded off as specified in GB/T 8170. ......Source: Above contents are excerpted from the full-copy PDF -- translated/reviewed by: www.ChineseStandard.net / Wayne Zheng et al.
