The phenomenon of paint films sticking together after drying due to the influence of certain temperature and humidity is called after-tack of paint films.

1 General provisions

2 Measurement method

Prepare a paint film on a tinplate by brushing according to General method of paint film (GB 1727-79). After painting, allow to dry under constant temperature and humidity conditions for 48 hours. Place the filter paper with the smooth side down on the paint film at least 1 cm from the edge of the sample; put it into a temperature and humidity control chamber; place the after-tack tester, which has been preheated at a temperature of 40±1℃ and a relative humidity of 80±2%, in the center of the filter paper; close the temperature and humidity control chamber.
