1 Scope

This standard specifies the basic requirements for the trading principles of livestock and poultry wholesale transactions, basic transaction requirements, transaction procedures and operations. 3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Livestock and poultry meat livestockandpoultrymeat Pigs, cattle, sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, horses, donkeys, donkeys, rabbits slaughtered and processed carcasses, heads, hooves, tails and edible internal organs. 3.2 Fresh meat freshmeat Livestock and poultry that pass through cold meat but not artificially cooled after slaughter. 3.3 Fresh carcass freshcarcas The livestock and poultry are slaughtered and excreted to remove the body parts of the hair, internal organs, head, tail and limbs (below the wrist and below).
