This standard specifies the design principles, design basis, general design requirements, design methods, layout and installation requirements of the reactive power compensation device for the submerged arc furnace power supply system. This standard is applicable to reactive power compensation devices (hereinafter referred to as devices) for power supply systems with a power frequency of 50 Hz and a rated voltage of 110 kV and below. The design and application of the device shall, in addition to complying with the provisions of this standard, be in accordance with the relevant national standards and norms.
