foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents"
drafted.
This document replaces GB 22749-2008 "Safety and Hygiene Requirements for Food Processing Machinery Slicers", which is consistent with GB 22749-2008
In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Changed terms and definitions (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the.2008 edition);
--- Added "Overview" (see Chapter 4);
--- Added "inspection rules" (see Chapter 8).
Please note that some content of this document may be patented. The issuing agency of this document assumes no responsibility for identifying patents.
This document is proposed by China National Light Industry Federation.
This document is under the jurisdiction of the National Standardization Technical Committee of Food Processing Equipment (SAC/TC383).

---This is the first revision.
Introduction
This document lists the various hazards that may arise from using a slicer. In addition, for hazards not covered in this document, see
Applicable terms of GB/T 15706.
The structure of the Machinery Safety Series Standard is.
--- Class A standard (basic safety standard), giving the basic concepts, design principles and characteristics applicable to all machinery.
--- Class B standard (general safety standard), involving a safety feature of machinery or a class of safety guards with a wide range of use.
● Category B1, specific safety features (such as safety distance, surface temperature, noise) standards;
● Class B2, safety devices (such as two-hand control devices, interlocking devices, pressure-sensitive devices, protective devices) standards.
--- Class C standard (machine safety standard), a standard that specifies detailed safety requirements for a specific machine or group of machines.
This document is a Category C standard.
When the provisions of Type C standards are different from those of Type A standards or Type B standards that have been promulgated, for those that have been designed in accordance with Type C standards
and manufactured machines, the provisions of the Class C standard take precedence over the provisions of the Class A standard or the provisions of the Class B standard.
The function of the slicer described in this document is to cut the material into pieces, therefore, the blade is not completely sealed. Although part of the blade is exposed,
Reasonable design can improve safety. This document sets acceptable good working practices for slicers to achieve improved product processing quality
and security purposes.
