This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents"
Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 15170-2007 "Thin steel round cans for packaging container industry".
In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The category of round cans has been added to the classification based on appearance (see 4.1 and Table 1, 4.1 and Table 1 of the.2007 edition);
b) Added classification according to the hazard level of contents (see 4.2);
c) Added some specifications for Class 5 and Class 6 round cans and the specifications for Class 7 round cans (see Tables 4 to 6);
d) Added material and accessory requirements (see Chapter 6);
e) Deleted the hygiene requirements (see 5.1.4 of the.2007 edition);
f) Added requirements and test methods for weld patch coating integrity (see 7.3, 8.3);
g) The requirements and test methods for airtightness have been changed (see 7.4.1, 8.4, and 5.2.1 and 6.2 of the.2007 edition);
h) The requirements and test methods for hydraulic strength have been changed (see 7.4.2, 8.5, and 5.2.2, 6.3 of the.2007 edition);
i) The requirements and test methods for drop resistance have been changed (see 7.4.3, 8.6, 5.2.3, 6.4 of the.2007 edition).
j) The requirements and test methods for stacking resistance have been changed (see 7.4.4, 8.7, and 5.2.4 and 6.5 of the.2007 edition);
k) The requirements and test methods for the strength of handles and rings have been changed (see 7.4.5, 8.8, and 5.2.5 and 6.6 of the.2007 edition);
l) The inspection rules have been changed (see Chapter 9, Chapter 7 of the.2007 edition);
m) Labeling, packaging, transportation and storage have been changed (see Chapter 10, Chapter 8 of the.2007 edition).

1 Scope
This document provides the classification of industrial thin steel plate round tanks (hereinafter referred to as "round tanks"), specifies the structural dimensions, materials and accessories, technical requirements,
