Introduction

This document is intended primarily for technical committees preparing residual current units, power supplies and other components for use in providing protection according to IEC 60364 (all parts). Use when the energy or electrical appliance is in compliance. There are two basic types of protection against electric shock hazards. fault protection (indirect contact) and basic protection (direct contact). Fault protection means that the appliance is used to prevent the continuous dangerous voltage on the accessible metal parts of the electrical device in the event of a ground fault. Under these circumstances, these grounded metal parts will become electrically charged. In this case, the danger comes from the user coming into contact with a grounded metal part which itself is in contact with a live conductive part. contact with live conductive parts rather than direct contact with them. The main function or basic function of residual current operated protective devices is to provide fault protection. The operating current does not exceed 30mA. It can also provide additional protection for people or livestock who are in direct contact with live conductors when other protective measures fail. Protect. Therefore, the operating characteristics given in this document are based on such requirements, which themselves are based on IEC 60479-1 and IEC 60479-2. Information included. The residual current operated protective device with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 300mA can also respond to long-term continuous ground fault current (not Provide protection against fire hazards caused by overcurrent protection devices. 1 Scope

This document specifies the minimum standards for the drafting of standards for residual current operated protective devices (hereinafter referred to as "residual current protective devices, RCDs"). Requirements, recommendations and information. This document applies to any electrical appliance providing residual current protection, primarily intended to prevent risk of electric shock. NOTE 1 This document does not include residual current monitors (RCMs) in accordance with IEC 62020, which are intended to monitor electrical installations rather than provide protection and cannot be considered Similar to or equal to RCD. NOTE 2 RCDs for DC systems are under consideration. Note 3.The correspondence between the clauses and modules of this document is shown in Appendix C. Note 4.The connection between RCD product standards and this document is shown in Appendix D. This document is mainly used as a reference for drafting product safety standards for "RCD" or "Residual Current Devices". These devices are used for general It is also installed or embedded in the device. This document is also used as a reference to specify the design requirements and applicable test procedures for RCDs installed or embedded in equipment. This common safety publication is intended for technical committees to prepare documents based on the principles specified in IEC Guide 104 and ISO /IEC Guide 51. It is used when formulating standards and is not intended for use by manufacturers or certification bodies. It is the responsibility of the technical committee to use common safety publications when preparing publications, where applicable. Otherwise, the requirements, test methods or test conditions of this common safety publication do not apply.
