Summary
This standard specifies the refractive index of liquid hydrocarbons and refraction dispersion method. This standard applies to the transparent and light liquid hydrocarbons. Refractive index can be accurate to 0. 00006, 0. 00012 refractive dispersion accurate to. Refractive index measurement range of 1. 33 to 1. 50, the measured temperature is 20 ~ 30 , precision of this standard does not apply to color number is greater than the 4th (with GB/T 6540 Determination) of liquid hydrocarbons: does not apply to the bubble point close test temperature, and did not significantly volatile liquid readings, test temperature higher than 30 refractive index higher than 1. 50, or a liquid. Note: This standard method can be provided for the instrument used for measuring the refractive index higher than 1. 50 of the sample, and the test temperature is below 20 or above 30 . However, because not yet a standard liquid refractive index higher than 1. 50, so in these conditions, the precision and accuracy of the instrument can not be estimated. Similarly, although the instrument's measurement temperature up to 50 , but the test temperature at 20 ~ 30 outside the scope of the standard liquid refractive index data have not been. This standard does not intend to all safety related to this issue are recommendations. Users are obliged to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicable regulatory regime.
