1 Scope

This document specifies the requirements for communication between battery packs and facilities of all-electric passenger vehicles based on the Controller Area Network (CAN) at the physical layer, data link layer and application layer. This document applies to the communication between the swappable battery pack for all-electric passenger vehicle and the battery swap infrastructure.

4 General

4.1 According to the requirements of 4.2 in GB/T 29772-2013, the battery swap station may include: charging equipment, battery box replacement equipment, battery box storage equipment, battery box transfer equipment, vehicle guidance system, battery testing and maintenance equipment, monitoring room, distribution room, safety protection facilities, driveway, parking space, business room and other auxiliary facilities. 4.2 The battery swap station and the battery management system are electrically connected through the battery box connector. 4.3 The communication between the battery swap station (battery swap infrastructure) and the battery pack (battery management system) shall include communication of charging functions and other functions. 4.4 The charging equipment and the battery management system of the battery swap station are based on the communication protocol specified in GB/T 27930 for communication of charging function, and the battery management system supports the communication protocol specified in GB/T 32895-2016 for communication of other functions. This communication mode is defined as Mode 1. 4.5 The charging equipment and the battery management system of the battery swap station do not use the communication protocol specified in GB/T 27930 for communication of charging function; instead, they use CAN standard frames or customized charging interaction processes. This communication mode is defined as Mode 2. 4.6 During the charging process, the charger and battery management system shall monitor parameters such as voltage, current and temperature. At the same time, the battery management system shall manage the entire charging process according to the charging control algorithm. ......
