Summary This standard specifies the test method for the determination of sulfur in light liquid fuels by single-wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (MWDXRF). This standard is applicable to the determination of total sulfur content in different distillates, jet fuels, kerosene, biodiesel, biodiesel blended fuels and ethanol gasoline used in gasoline, diesel and refineries for blending gasoline and diesel. The standard measures the sulfur mass fraction in the range of 3.2mg/kg to 2822mg/kg. PLOQ (combined measurement limit value) of the standard method is 3.2 mg/kg (determined according to ASTM D6259 method).
