Foreword

GB/T 6931 "Belt Transmission Terminology" is divided into 3 parts. ---Part 1.Basic terminology; ---Part 2.V-belt and V-belt drive; ---Part 3.Synchronous belt drive. This part is Part 2 of GB/T 6931. This section was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This part replaces GB/T 6931.2-2008 ``Belt Transmission Terminology Part 2.V-belt and Poly V-belt Transmission Terminology'', and Compared with GB/T 6931.2-2008, the main technical changes except for editorial changes are as follows. ---Deleted normative reference documents (see Chapter 2 of the.2008 edition); ---Modified the symbols of V-belt/section width, height, relative height (see 2.1.3, 2.1.4, 2.1.5, 2.1.6, 3.1.3, 3.1.4, 3.1.5, 3.1.6); ---Modified the symbols of V-belt wheel groove angle, wheel groove pitch width, reference width, reference line difference, effective width, and effective line difference (see 2.2.2, 2.2.3, 3.1.1, 3.1.4, 4.1.1, 4.1.4, 3.2.2, 3.2.3, 4.1.1, 4.1.4, 5.1.1, 5.1.4 of the.2008 edition); ---Modified the symbols of the V-ribbed belt wedge spacing, pulley groove angle, and effective line difference (see 5.1.5, 5.2.7, 5.2.13,.2008 version 6.1.5, 6.2.7, 6.2.13); --- Deleted the term and definition of "V-ribbed belt" (see 6.1.1 of the.2008 edition); ---Added the term and definition of "elastic belt" (see 5.1.3); ---Added the term and definition of "free length" (see 5.1.4.1); ---Added the term and definition of "transmission length" (see 5.1.4.2); ---Added the term and definition of "elongation" (see 5.1.4.3); --- Added a schematic diagram of the term "outer diameter" (see Figure 15); --- Added terms and definitions related to tension and modulus (see 5.3 and 5.4). This section uses the redrafting method to modify and adopt ISO 1081.2013 "V-belt and V-ribbed belt and pulley terminology for belt drive". Compared with ISO 1081.2013, this part has many structural adjustments. Appendix A lists the differences between this part and ISO 1081.2013. A list of chapter number comparisons. Compared with ISO 1081.2013, this part has technical differences. Appendix B gives a list of corresponding technical differences and their reasons. This section has made the following editorial changes. ---Modified the standard name; ---Added an informative appendix "Terms of the main types of friction belts" (see Appendix C). This part was proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation. This part is under the jurisdiction of the National Belt Wheels and Belt Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC428). Drafting organizations of this section. China Machinery Productivity Promotion Center, Weishi County Jiulong Rubber and Plastic Co., Ltd., Sichuan Deen Precision Technology Co., Ltd. Company, Qingdao Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute, Wuxi Zhonghui Rubber Technology Co., Ltd., Ningbo Kaichi Adhesive Tape Co., Ltd., Ningbo Fengmao Far East Rubber Co., Ltd., Wuxi Belt Belt Co., Ltd. The previous versions of the standards replaced by this part are as follows. ---GB/T 6931.2-1986, GB/T 6931.2-2008. Belt transmission terms Part 2.V-belt and V-belt drive

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 6931 defines the terms, definitions and symbols of V belts and V belt wheels, V-ribbed belts and V-ribbed belt wheels. This part is applicable to V-belt and V-ribbed belt transmission applications. Note. Refer to Appendix C for the main types of friction belts. 2 General terms, definitions and symbols for V belt and V belt wheel 2.1 Belt 2.1.1 Pitchline When the belt is bent perpendicular to its bottom edge, any contour in the belt that remains unchanged in its original length. Note. See Figure 1. figure 1 2.1.2 Pitchzone A surface composed of all pitch lines. Note. See Figure 2. figure 2 2.1.3 Pitchwidth Wp The section width of the belt.
