This document was drafted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020
Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of
standardizing documents.
This document replaces GB/T 5357-1998 Hexagon spline wrenches. Compared with
GB/T 5357-1998, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main
technical changes are as follows:
a) Product classification is added (see 4.1);
b) Product marking is changed (see 4.2; see 3.2.3 of the 1998 edition);
c) Material requirements and test methods are added (see 5.1 and 6.1);
d) Product dimensions are changed (see 5.2; see 3.2 of the 1998 edition);
e) Surface quality is changed (see 5.3; see 4.4 and 4.5 of the 1998 edition);
f) The hardness is changed (see 5.4; see 4.6 of the 1998 edition);
g) The torque is changed (see 5.5; see 4.6 of the 1998 edition);
h) The test method is changed (see Chapter 6; see Chapter 5 of the 1998 edition);

1 Scope
This document specifies the product classification and marking, technical requirements,
test methods, inspection rules, markings, packaging, transportation, and storage of keys
for hexalobular socket screws, and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document applies to hexalobular keys (hereinafter referred to as "keys") for
tightening hexalobular socket screws and bolts.
