1 Scope
This Standard specifies materials, requirements, inspection rules and
transportation for waterborne epoxylite emulsified binder mixture for road
engineering.
This Standard is applicable to various grades of roads and urban road projects.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
emulsified binder shall be inspected before construction. They can be used after
passing the inspection.
6.1.2 When the constructer or the supervisor unilaterally or both parties do not
have the test conditions, both parties can negotiate to entrust third-party
inspection.
6.2 Inspection classification
6.2.1 Exit-factory inspection
Exit-factory inspection shall, according to Table 4 and Table 6, be carried out to
each batch of waterborne epoxylite emulsified binder slurry mixtures or
waterborne epoxylite emulsified cold mix binder mixtures.
6.2.2 Type inspection
When the waterborne epoxylite emulsified binder slurry mixture or waterborne
epoxylite emulsified cold mix binder mixture is mixed for the first time as well as
when one of the following situations occurs during the construction process,
type inspection shall be carried out according to Table 1, Table 2, Table 4 and
Table 6:
a) when the source, type or specifications of raw materials, such as mineral
material and waterborne epoxylite emulsified binder, have changed that
may affect product performance;
b) when there is a significant difference in product quality.
6.3 Batching and sampling
6.3.1 Batching
6.3.1.1 Products shall be sampled and tested in batches.
6.3.1.2 For products produced by the same project, the same raw materials,
the same mix ratio and production process, per 3000t is one batch. If it is less
than 3000t, it shall be regarded as one batch.
6.3.2 Sampling
6.3.2.1 Conduct sampling in the paving trough of the slurry seal car for
waterborne epoxylite emulsified binder slurry mixture. It is better to conduct
sampling on paver for waterborne epoxylite emulsified cold mix binder mixture.
6.3.2.2 Samples shall be kept in reserve when sampling. The number of
retention groups of the sample shall be determined according to actual needs.
