Foreword

GB/T 21196 "Textiles Martindale method - Determination of fabric abrasion resistance" is divided into four parts. --- Part 1. Martindale abrasion testing apparatus; --- Part 2. Determination of specimen breakdown; --- Part 3. Determination of mass loss; --- Part 4. Assessment of appearance change. This section GB/T Part of 421,196. The partial modification of the use of ISO 12947-4.1998 "Textiles - Determination of abrasion resistance of fabrics by the Martindale method - Part 4. change in appearance Evaluation. " This part of ISO 12947-4.1998 is the main differences. 1. Some will apply international standards to apply to the description of the standard formulation. 2. "Normative references" in international standards with the corresponding national standards in place. 3. Scope increased coated fabric. 4. Increasing the abrasive coated fabrics used in Chapter 5. 5.7.5.2 The increase in "Removing the pressure hammer" steps. 6. The adjustment order is described in Chapter 8 of the technical content of the two, making the content clearer and easy to operate. 7. Chapter 9, add "change in the appearance rubs assessed by rubbing the sample agreement." 8. In Chapter 10 adds "d) a description of the abrasive used," the following numbers in turn postponed. This part is proposed by the China Textile Industry Association. This part of the National Standardization Technical Committee on Basic Standards Subcommittee Textiles (SAC/TC209/SC1) centralized. This part from the textile Standardization Institute, Hangzhou Paradise Umbrella Group Co., Ltd., China Textile Standard (Beijing) Limited Test and Certification Center Division, Wenzhou-Textile Instruments Co., Ltd. is responsible for drafting. 3 Terms and Definitions

Terms and definitions GB/T 21196.1 established in this section apply to GB/T 21196 of. Principle 4 Round specimen mounted in the Martindale abrasion tester specimen holder, in a predetermined load to the track as Lisha Ru (Lissajous) Plane motion graphics and abrasive (ie, standard fabric) friction, specimen holder containing abrasive rotatable about an axis perpendicular to the horizontal plane with free transfer move. Determine fabric abrasion resistance according to changes in the appearance of the specimen. Tested under quality specimen holder and the pin is (198 ± 2) g load. The following two methods in one, with the same fabric of untested samples were compared to assess the changes in the surface of the sample. a) changes in surface friction test protocol to determine the changes in the surface reaches a predetermined desired total number of friction (wear times); b) the number of friction of rubbing test protocol to assess the degree of surface changes that have occurred.

5 Apparatus and auxiliary materials

Test equipment and auxiliary materials shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 21196.1; for coated fabrics, should be selected No. 600 water sandpaper as standard Quasi abrasive.

6 with air conditioning and testing

With air conditioning and testing using three standard atmospheric GB 6529 stipulated that the temperature (20 ± 2) ℃, relative humidity (65 ± 5)%.
