This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents"

This document is Part 3 of GB/T 1973 Small cylindrical coil springs. GB/T 1973 has published the following parts.
--- Part 1.Technical requirements;
--- Part 2.Dimensions and parameters of tension springs;
--- Part 3.Dimensions and parameters of compression springs.
This document replaces GB/T 1973.3-2005 "Dimensions and parameters of small cylindrical helical compression springs" and GB/T 1973.3-2005
In comparison, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The content of the element "Terms and Symbols" has been changed (see Chapters 3 and 4, Chapter 3 of the.2005 edition), and some symbols have been changed;
b) The normative reference document YB(T)11 (see Chapter 4 of the.2005 edition) has been deleted;
c) The content of “Materials” has been changed (see Chapter 5, Chapter 5 of the.2005 edition);
d) Added the normative reference document GB/T 24588 (see Chapter 6);
e) Change the material diameter in Table 2 and Table 3 from φ0.35mm to φ0.36mm (see Table 2 and Table 3,.2005 edition).
