This standard replaces GB 31604.31-2016 “National Food Safety Standard for Food Contact Materials and Products - Determination and Migration of Vinyl Chloride”
Determination of displacement.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the residual and migration amounts of vinyl chloride, 1,1-dichloroethylene and 1,1-dichloroethane in food contact materials and their products.
Determination method.
This standard applies to vinyl chloride, 1,1-dichloroethylene in plastics, coatings, adhesives, paper and paper products, inks and other food contact materials and products.

Method 1 Gas Chromatography
2 Principle
The sample is placed in a headspace bottle, dissolved or fully dispersed in N,N-dimethylacetamide, and heated to make the components to be tested, vinyl chloride, 1,1-dichloro
Ethylene and 1,1-dichloroethane reach gas-liquid equilibrium. Quantitatively draw the gas above the liquid and inject it into the gas chromatograph for component separation.
The product was detected by ECD, qualitative analysis was performed based on retention time, and quantitative analysis was performed based on peak area using external standard method.
3 Reagents and Materials
Unless otherwise specified, all reagents used in this method were of analytical grade and the water was first-grade water as specified in GB/T 6682.
3.1 Reagents
N,N-Dimethylacetamide. Purity greater than 99%.
3.2 Standards
3.2.1 Vinyl chloride (C2H3Cl, CAS No.. 75-01-4). Standard solution certified by the state and granted with a standard substance certificate, with a concentration of
1000mg/L, using methanol as solvent.
3.2.2 1,1-Dichloroethylene (C2H2Cl2, CAS No.. 75-35-4). purity ≥ 99.5%, or certified by the state and granted a standard material certificate
