Foreword

This Standard is China’s first industrial standard related to standardization of power storage batteries for electric vehicles of which its purpose is to OPTIMIZE the design and manufacture of power battery, STANDARDIZE the research and development, production and application of power battery, REDUCE the R&D and production cost of power battery development organization and the procurement cost of vehicle unit, and PROMOTE the development of the industry. This Standard was proposed by and shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Automobile of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 114). The drafting organizations of this Standard. China Electronics Technology Group Corporation 18th Research Institute, China Automotive Technology and Research Center. Main drafters of this Standard. 1 Scope

This Standard specifies the specification and dimension of monomer and module of metal hydride nickel traction battery and lithium-ion traction battery for electric vehicles. This Standard is applicable to monomer and module of metal hydride nickel traction battery and lithium-ion traction battery for electric vehicles.

2 Normative references

The following standards contain the provisions which, through reference in this Standard, constitute the provisions of this Standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this Standard. However, the parties who enter into agreement based on this Standard are encouraged to investigate whether the latest versions of these documents are applicable. For undated reference documents, the latest versions apply to this Standard. GB/T 7149 Nomenclature for batteries and battery packs containing alkaline or other non-acidic electrolytes

3 Storage battery type

The storage battery type should comply with the provisions of GB/T 7169.

4 Specification and dimension of storage battery

4.1 Metal hydride nickel - hydrogen storage battery The structure of monomer of metal hydride nickel traction battery is shown as Figure 1.

5 Terminal form

The terminal position and connection of traction battery can be determined by in consultation with the vehicle corporation.
