This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage for skin care gel. This Standard is applicable to skin care gel whose main purpose is to care for human skin. Its formulation mainly uses high molecular polymers as gels.2 Normative References

For the purpose of this Standard, the following terms and definitions apply.5 Test Methods
5.1 Sensory indicators 5.1.1 Appearance Take the specimen, visually examine at the room temperature and under indirect- sunlight. 5.1.2 Fragrant Take the specimen, smell it for identification. 5.2 Physical-chemical indicators 5.2.1 pH It shall be tested according to the method (dilution method) specified in GB/T 13531.1. 5.2.2 Heat-resistant 5.2.2.1 Instrument a) Constant temperature incubator: the accuracy of temperature control is ±1°C; b) Test tube: φ20mm×120mm. 5.2.2.2 Operation procedure 5.2.2.2.1 Non-transparent packaging product Put the specimens into two test tubes with dimension of φ20 mm×120 mm, and a height of about 80 mm; and plug them with clean rubber stoppers. Put a test tube to be tested in a constant temperature incubator that has been adjusted to (40±1)°C in advance; take it out after 24h; return to room temperature; then compare it with specimen in another test tube through visual examination. 5.2.2.2.2 Transparent packaging product Take 2 bottles of the completely-packaged specimens; place one bottle of specimen in a constant temperature incubator that has been adjusted to (40±1)°C in advance. After 24 hours, take it out and return to room temperature; directly compare with specimen in another bottle through visual examination. 5.2.3 Cold-resistant 5.2.3.1 Instruments a) Refrigerator: accuracy of temperature control is ±2°C; b) Test tube: φ20mm×120mm. 5.2.3.2 Operation procedure 5.2.3.2.1 Non-transparent packaging product Put the specimens into two test tubes with dimension of φ20 mm×120 mm, and a height of about 80 mm; and plug them with clean rubber stoppers. Put a test tube to be tested in a refrigerator that has been adjusted to (-5°C±-10°C) in advance; take it out after 24 h; return to room temperature; then compare it with specimen in another test tube through visual examination. 5.2.3.2.2 Transparent packaging product Take 2 bottles of the completely-packaged specimens, and place one bottle of specimen in a refrigerator that has been adjusted to (-5°C±-10°C) in advance. After 24 hours, take it out; return to room temperature; directly compare with specimen in another bottle through visual examination. 5.3 Hygienic indicators It shall be tested according to the method specified in WFJF [2002] No.229 Cosmetics Hygienic Specifications. 5.4 Net content It shall be determined according to the method specified in JJF 1070.6 Inspection Rules
