This standard specifies the terms and definitions, which are related to the charging and discharging infrastructures of electric vehicles. This standard applies to electric vehicle charging and discharging infrastructures, which use conduction methods.2 Normative references

3.1 Traction battery; propulsion battery A battery, that provides energy for the power system of an electric vehicle. [GB/T 19596-2017, Definition 3.3.1.1.1.1] 3.2 Charging and discharging infrastructure Infrastructures that can provide charging and discharging services, at the same time, for power batteries of electric vehicle. 3.3 Charging and discharging operation and management system A system, which realizes the data collection, data storage, statistical analysis, operation decision-making, business service, dispatching management of electric vehicle charging and discharging related businesses. 3.4 Charging and discharging equipment An equipment, that is connected between an electric vehicle or a traction battery and the grid (or load), to achieve two-way flow of energy. 3.5 Connection set for charging and discharging The components that, when charging and discharging electric vehicles, connect electric vehicles to charging and discharging equipments (or electric vehicles). 3.6 Charging and discharging coupler A component of the connection sets for charging and discharging, which connects the electric vehicle or off-board charging and discharging equipment, to realize communication handshake, information exchange, energy flow. 3.7 Charging and discharging mode An operation mode of the electric vehicle, where it is connected to the grid (or load) through the charging and discharging equipment, as an energy storage unit, to supply power. 3.7.1 Vehicle-to-grid; V2G An operation mode of the electric vehicle, where it is connected to the public power grid through the charging and discharging equipment, as an energy storage unit, to participate the power supply of the public power grid. 3.7.4 Vehicle-to-vehicle; V2V An operation mode, in which different electric vehicles supply power to each other, as energy storage units.
