The following technical deviations have been made with respect to the GB/T 8629-2001 (the previous edition). — In the scope of this standard, 3 different washing procedures of washing machine Type A are added; 7 different washing procedures of washing machine Type C are added; "flat dry" is added and "oven dry" is deleted; the notes of 1.4 and 1.5 are added (see Clause 1; Clause 1 of Edition 2001); — GB/T 6529 is added in normative references, and GB/T 8685 is deleted (see Clause 2; Clause 2 of Edition 2001); — Clause 3 "Terms and Definitions" is added, and the clause numbers extended accordingly (see Clause 3); — Clause 4 of the original standard is adjusted to Clause 6 of this standard, and the types of reference detergent is changed from 3 to 6 (see Clause 6; Clause 4 of Edition 2001); — Water hardness is revised from "water hardness for arbitration test shall not exceed 20 mg/kg" to "water hardness shall be lower than 0.7 mmol/L" (see 6.2.1; 4.2 of Edition 2001); — The requirements of water pressure and water inlet temperature are added (see 6.2.2 and 6.2.3); — Clause 5 "Apparatus" is revised as "Apparatus and Materials", and Tables 1 and 2 of the original standard are deleted (see Clause 5; Clause 5 of Edition 2001); — Washing machine Type C is added; partial specifications of washing machine Type A and Type B are modified, and washing machine Type A is classified into washing machine Type A1 and Type A2; the specifications of washing machines are adjusted to corresponding annexes (see Clause 5; Clause 5 of Edition 2001); — Table 3 and the requirements of dryer used with corresponding type of washing machine of the original standard are deleted; dryers are classified into Type A1 (vented), Type A2 (condenser) and Type A3 (large vented); the specification parameters of dryers are modified, and the parameters are adjusted to corresponding annexes (see 5.2; 5.2 of Edition 2001); — Specification parameters and selection method of ballast are modified, and the parameters are adjusted to corresponding annexes (see 5.6; 5.3 of Edition 2001); — 5.7 "Oven" of the original standard is deleted (see 5.7 of Edition 2001); — Clause 7 "Conditioning and Testing Atmosphere" is added (see Chapter 7); — The provisions of wash load and ballast in Clauses 6 and 7 of the original standard are adjusted to Clause 8 of this standard (see Clause 8; Clauses 6 and 7 of Edition 2001); — Partial provisions of washing procedures of washing machine Type A (Table 5 of the original standard) are modified; except simulated hand wash, the sequencing series number of “1A, 2A, 3A...” are revised as the code series number of the first digital, which represents wash temperature, plus the first letter of agitation type (Normal, Mild and Gentle), for example, original series number 5A is adjusted to 4N, and Table 5 of the original standard is adjusted to Annex B (see Annex B; Table 5 of Edition 2001); — Partial provisions of washing procedures of washing machine Type B (Table 6 of the original standard) are modified, and Table 6 of the original standard is adjusted to Annex D (see Annex D; Table 6 of Edition 2001); — Washing procedures of washing machine Type C are added (see Annex F); — Dosage of reference detergent and applicable machine types are specified, and Table 1 is added (see 9.3); — Main technical requirements of Clause 8 of the original standard are itemized, the setting requirements of the temperature of the exhaust from the drum are modified, and 10.1.4 and 10.2.4 are added (see Clause 10; Clause 8 of Edition 2001); — The original Annex A to Annex C are adjusted to Annex I, Annex K to Annex P; Annex A to Annex H, Annex J and Annex Q are added; and the original Annex D is deleted (see Annex A to Annex Q; Annex A to Annex D of Edition 2001). This standard has been redrafted and modified adoption of International Standard ISO 6330.2012 Textiles — Domestic Washing and Drying Procedures for Textile Testing (English version). The technical deviations between this standard and the International Standard ISO 6330.2012 are as follows. — Adjustment on technical differences had been made in "Normative References" of this standard so that the technical conditions in China are met; the adjustment situations embodied a concentrated reflection in Chapter 2 "Normative References", and the specific adjustments are as follows. ISO 139 is replaced by GB/T 6529, which is modified in relation to the international standard; ISO 6059 is replaced by GB/T 7477 which is identical to the international standard. For the purposes of this standard, the following editorial changes have also been made. — The note of 1.4 is added; — IEC 60456 is deleted from the note of 6.2.1; — The note of 8.3 and 10.2.3 are added; — Due to clerical errors of the international standard, partial parameters of the washing machine Type A2 type Annex A (Normative) are corrected; — The note of Annex B is added, and Annex Q (Informative) is added; — Bibliography of the international standard is deleted. This standard was proposed by China National Textile and Apparel Council. This standard was prepared by SAC/TC 209/SC 1 (Basic Standard Subcommittee 1 of National Technical Committee 209 on Textiles of Standardization Administration of China). Th drafting organizations of this standard. Use of different parameters (washing machine type, detergent type and type of tumble drier) may affect test results for any test using this standard. Therefore, parties using this standard are strongly encouraged to agree on the parameters to be used.2 Normative References
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this document, the following terms and definitions apply. prolonged drying operation where the load is dried until all remaining moisture in the load has been removed4 Principle
A specimen is washed in an automatic washing machine and dried according to specified procedures.5 Apparatus and Materials
For procedure for line drying, see 10.1.1; for drip line drying, see 10.1.2. Use screen drying racks of approximately 16 mesh stainless steel or plastic for flat drying (see 10.1.3) or drip flat drying (see 10.1.4). The nominal composition of 100% Polyester ballast is given in Annex H.6 Reagents
The laboratory water-supply pressure at the inlet to the reference washing machine shall be higher than 150 kPa. The water temperature at the inlet to the reference washing machines shall be (20 ± 5)℃. In tropical countries, the water temperature (20 ± 5)℃ should be regarded as a minimum temperature. When the measurement is carried out with a water temperature that differs from these limits, the supply temperature should be stated in the test report.7 Conditioning and Testing Atmosphere
The atmospheres used for conditioning textile specimens shall be in accordance with GB/T 6529.8 Wash Load
The number of specimens will be determined by the purpose for which the material is being tested. If dimensional stability is being determined, not more than half of the wash load shall consist of test specimens.9 Washing Procedure
After the washing procedure has been completed, remove the test specimen(s) carefully, ensuring that they are neither stretched nor distorted, and dry according to one of the drying procedures described in Clause 10. ......Source: Above contents are excerpted from the full-copy PDF -- translated/reviewed by: www.ChineseStandard.net / Wayne Zheng et al.
