Foreword

GB/T 7568 is divided into 7 parts: - Part 1: Wool; - Part 2: Cotton and viscose; - Part 3: Polyamide; - Part 4: Polyester; - Part 5: Acrylic fabric; - Part 6: Silk fabric; - Part 7: Multi-fiber. This part is the part 3 of GB/T 7768. It modifies and uses the ISO 105-F03:2001 Textiles - Tests for color fastness - Part F03: Specification for polyamide adjacent fabric (English version). The main differences between this part and ISO 105-F03:2001 are as follows: - REPLACE the international standards in normative references by the national standards; ADD the GB/T 251, FZ/T 01023, FZ/T 01024; - ADD the requirements for the performance of polyamide-stained reference fabric; - ADD the requirements for the number of folding layers when measuring the whiteness; - ADD the use of instrument grading method to evaluate the tested adjacent fabric and reference adjacent fabric after staining; - DELETE the foreword, notes, references of ISO 105-F03:2001. This part replaces the GB 11403-1989 Textiles - Tests for color fastness - Specification for standard adjacent fabric: Polyamide. As compared with GB 11403-1989, the main changes are as follows: - CHANGE the standard name into “Textiles - Tests for color fastness - Standard adjacent fabrics - Part 3: Polyamide”; - CHANGE it from mandatory standard into recommended standard; Textiles - Tests for color fastness - Standard adjacent fabrics - Part 3: Polyamide

1 Scope

This part specifies the specifications and requirements for the unstained polyamide standard adjacent fabric suitable for use in assessing staining in color fastness tests. The staining characteristics of the polyester adjacent fabric to be tested shall, together with the polyamide reference adjacent fabric, be determined by comparing with polyamide-stained reference fabric. Both reference fabrics shall be obtained from the prescribed supply.
