GB/T 6730 Iron Ores is divided into the following parts: ---GB/T 6730.1 Iron Ores - Preparation of Predried Test Samples for Chemical Analysis; …… This is Part 1 of GB/T 6730. This Part was drafted in accordance with the rules of GB/T 1.1-2009. This Part serves as a replacement of GB/T 6730.1-1986 Methods for Chemical Analysis of Iron Ores - Preparation of Predried Test Samples for Chemical Analysis. In comparison with GB/T 6730.1-1986, apart from editorial modifications, the main technical changes are as follows: ---The Scope of the Standard is re-defined; ---The Normative References is added; ---The Instruments and Materials is added; ---“If the content of chemically combined water or readily oxidizable substances in the test sample is high, the particle size shall be less than 160 m.” and NOTE are deleted from “5 Test Samples”; ---“Layer density is not greater than 5 mg/mm2”, “Then, for every 25 min, repeat drying and weighing, until reaching a constant weight (the test samples dried to a constant weight are the predried test samples).” and NOTE ①, ③, ④, ⑤, ⑥ are deleted from “6 Operating Procedures”; “Store the predried test samples in the properly covered weighing bottle in a desiccator. Quickly weigh the test samples to prevent reabsorption of water” is modified into “Quickly transfer the test portions to the test container, and weigh the mass of the weighing bottle and the bottle cap (m2)”; the expression method and weighing accuracy of the mass of the test portions are added. This Part adopts the re-drafting method in the modification and adoption of ISO 7764:2006 Iron Ores - Preparation of Predried Test Samples for Chemical Analysis. This Part differs from ISO 7764:2006 only in the Normative References: GB/T 10322.1 (GB/T 10322.1-2014, ISO 3082:2009, IDT) which equivalently adopts international standard is used to replace the superseded ISO 3082:2000. This Part was proposed by China Iron and Steel Association. This Part shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee 317 on Iron Ore and Direct Reduced Iron of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 317). This Part of GB/T 6730 specifies the preparation of predried test samples for the chemical analysis of iron ores. This Part is applicable to natural iron ores, iron concentrates and agglomerates, and includes the preparation of predried test samples in sintered products for chemical analysis. This Part does not apply to direct reduced iron test samples containing metallic iron, natural or processed iron ore test samples containing more than 0.2% (mass fraction) of sulfur or more than 2.5% (mass fraction) of chemically combined water. The above-mentioned test samples shall adopt GB/T 6730.3. NOTE 1: loss on ignition can be used to estimate the content of chemically combined water. NOTE 2: for all samples, GB/T 6730.3 can be adopted to determine the moisture absorption capacity.2 Normative References
