This Part of GB/T 3903 identically adopts the International Standard ISO 17702.2003 Footwear - Test methods for uppers - Water resistance (English version). They are exactly identical in technical content. This Part of GB/T 3903 only makes the following editorial modifications. a) modified “this European Standard” to “this Part of GB/T 3903” (Translator Note. Original text in Chinese is European Standard); b) used decimal point “.” to replace “,” which was used as decimal point; c) deleted the foreword of ISO 17702.2003; d) deleted the table of contents of ISO 17702.2003; e) directly used a national standard as reference which is corresponding to the EN standard that was used as reference in ISO 17702.2003; f) deleted the appendix of ISO 17702.2003. This Part was proposed by China Light Industry Association. This Part shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Footwear of Standardization Administration of China.
