This standard was compiled through revising the GB/T 10708.3-1989 “Reciprocating rubber seals – Types, dimensions and tolerances – Part 3. Rubber dust seals”. This standard is the first revision of GB/T 10708.3-1989, AND the main changes are as the follows. - In the B type seal ring size series and tolerance, ADD the size and tolerance when the piston rod diameter is 56 mm; - In the C type seal ring size series and tolerance, ADD the size and tolerance when the piston rod diameter is 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 16 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm, 32 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm, 60 mm, 63 mm, 80 mm, 100 mm, 125 mm, 160 mm, 1 80 mm, 200 mm, 250 mm, 280 mm, 320 mm, 360 mm. - MODIFY the arrangement format, symbol specification and labeling method. This standard part 3 of GB/T 10708 “Reciprocating rubber seals – Types, dimensions and tolerances” GB/T 10708 includes the following three parts. Part 1 (i.e. GB/T 10708. 1). Rubber seals of act on single seal; Part 2 (i.e. GB/T 10708. 2). Rubber seals of act on double seal; Part 3 (i.e. GB/T 10708. 3). Rubber seals for wipers. This standard shall, from the date of implementation, replace GB/T 10708.3- 1989. This standard was proposed by the former Ministry of Chemical Industry of People's Republic of China. This standard specifies the type, dimensions and tolerances of the rubber dust seals for reciprocating motion. This standard applies to the rubber dust seals installed on the reciprocating hydraulic cylinder piston rod guide sleeve for the purposes of dust proof and sealing (abbreviated as dust ring).2 References

3.1 Classification As for the dust rings as specified in this standard, they are divided into three basic types based on structures and applications. - A type dust ring, which is a single lip rubber seals without skeleton, AND suitable for installing into A type seal structure for the purposes of dust proof, as shown in Figure 1.5 Marking
